The facts are there the population wants to remain part of Britain and Argentina has never had ownership of it, this is a wacky claim propped up by a brutal military dictatorship in 1982 that started a war when everything was going to hell in that country economically and socially, and oh by the way that war was a major reason for the collapse of that regime and the return of democracy to Argentina, but you dont hear that from the likes of Mr. Denmark, please post something from your Khmer Rouge and Milosevic loving buddy Chomsky.

I love dan's ultra-leftist view on things where fighting against a former colonial power is more important than the rights of the people involved.

After you've had your way with the goats, who'd take them?
I should have known you want to be included. Fine, then the offer is 4 goats and a sheep.

We all know that in the end the Falklands or whatever the argentinians call the islands, eventually will be given to Argentina. If Argentina was as powerful as China, they would have the islands already. Britain has given up all its former assets, whenever a strong power asks for it.

The british empire is Kaput. They should do the honourable thing and give the territory back to Argentina.
Back to Argentina? I seemed to have missed that...... I might have slept through that section in history class. Wonder why the islands have a British name.....hmmmmm....

Taking Hong Kong back would restore Britain to its former glory, hanging on to the Falklands do not.

Bullshit. People in the 21st century would not support forcibly evacuating the people who have been living there for hundreds of years and as far as anyone is aware, the ONLY permanent population the Islands ever had?

p.s. In other situations, Britain has given rule over to the indigenous populations of which there is none in this case.

You do realize that remaining British possessions are such because they want to be.
Of course, I remember how long Hong Kong was begging to become part of mainland China.

Now we know some of your problem, english comprehension. What part of my post said I wanted to be considered. How's your search for your make believe author. Apparently Google is not the only search engine that has no mention of him or his book. Perhaps you can offer up an ISBN reference. I'm not going hold out for one though.

Your attention seeking gave you away.

I think you should stop your harping about the well regarded scholar Jeremy Wolsmith Abelsworth. Your prejudice against the Vikings are blinding you. I gave you the reference to Viking Press, 1943.

.....and it came up with zero. If the writer had written anything else, he also kept that a secret as well; no references to books, the author, or even a review of either. If he was that well regarded, it would be unthinkable to expect nothing, except to you.

If you supposedly remember that (although it is true that a minority of the population did feel such) it is no wonder that you also "remember" other such events.
