I really don't know whether these, or other allegations against him are true or not. This sad incident and other similar incidents is a sad reflection of our society. It shows how you can damage a person's character and reputation by constantly throwing mud at him (or her) and eventually some of the unwashed masses will believe you. Let's hope you or I never become the target of such character assassination.
But not one of these "scandals" that the Star has splashed across their pages has been proven. The public drunkenness, the ass grabbing, the substance abuse, the homophobic slurs, moving his property line...any one of them would have got him (rightfully) turfed from office. Every time another one comes out they say, "Oh this is it. He won't get out of this one." But he's still there.
Why? Because none of them have been proven. If they were true it would not have been hard to nail him because God knows, they've been trying damn hard and there have been so many of them. His performance of the duties of mayor may be up for debate, but these "scandals" are a joke, and bad ones at that.
Maybe his detractors are more incompetent than they paint him to be if they can't nail his fat ass given so many opportunities.
I'm not defending him because as I said, I don't know, but the vendetta is shameful. Don't like him? Vote him out. Making stuff up, which is what appears to be happening, is for sore losers.
