NFL has specialty teams , defensive units that effect a team sport result . Adrian Peterson only plays on one side of the ball

You got baseball ...which has turned players into situational stars...I.e long relievers ...Set up guys..closers in pitching
defensive specialists...I.e late inning players, used for their defence ...
offensive players...switch hitters..pinch hitters...and the like...so baseball is out...unless there is 1a player who won the triple crown and also won gold gloves in more than 1 position
Hockey...hmmm..scorers...players who are muckers ..defensive forwards ...offensive defencemen...defensive defenceman.....penalty killers....
in hockey it would have to be a player skilled at more than 1of these...and again a multiple leader in some categories
I would lean towards a basketball player who can play all 3 forward positions very well...plus some back court skills too....so I would say either lebron or maybe D. Howard.....

Who is the MVP of their team in todays team sports..as in which player elevates their team to a higher level than any other by leading by example...lots of players out there can control a game.. but the question is...who does it on a constant and continuous basis game in .game out..day in ..day out..
there are sports out there ..not well known nor well watched that have players that seem to be 2 to 3 levels above all others...Jai Lai....Aussie football..Rugby...Cricket...

You can add me to that list also but he is doing amazing things which has never been seen before and that has got my attention ... Although greatness in the sport of soccer will result in him having his name along guys like Pele and Maradona which just their names tells a story of greatness .
