That weapon is a RPG ( rocket propelled grenade ) launcher. The grenade explodes on impact when it hits something like a tank. It may have went through sheet rock and possibly on the exterior of the house lath and plaster or wood cladding which is not hard enough to detonate the grenade. It hadn't traveled far enough to arm.
Still a monumentally stupid thing to do!
You may indeed be correct, but most such weapons have to "travel" for a certain distance before they arm. That weapon is a RPG . . . .the grenade explodes on impact when it hits something like a tank. Exactly, they usually have a fuse that takes about 4.5 seconds to make the round "live."You may indeed be correct, but most such weapons have to "travel" for a certain distance before they arm.
Range and ability are different, choice of projectiles are not the same. Accuracy and reliability are not the same. The Soviet made RPG are much more reliable than the Iranian made ones. And the specific model matters because?
From the video it looks like he may have fired the RPG though an already open window or doorway.Apparently this is part of a new tactic where the rebels enter random houses to fire the rockets. When the Syrian army retaliates they film it and claim they are targetting innocent civilians. There are no "good "guys with weapons over there.
I definitely believe this.Apparently this is part of a new tactic where the rebels enter random houses to fire the rockets. When the Syrian army retaliates they film it and claim they are targetting innocent civilians. There are no "good "guys with weapons over there.
