just a question, i don't follow or care about local toronto politics. who the mayor is doesn't really matter to me on any level at all.
my question is, is rob ford actually as bad as people say he is or is this the same as the crazy shit that is based on nothing that i hear about obama ?

What i am trying to say is when you dont paid all of your taxes by not declaring all of your income and trying to get ahead in life by working in the underground economy .. Jennifer's real actions really shows that she fed up with the leftwing govenments who like to tax and spend all of your money recklesslly. Rob ford saved toronto taxpayers over 100 million dollars ( garbage saving ).I am trying to figure this out. I do not agree with Jennifer but I would say that paying taxes is both a left and right wing virtue, and not a perogative of either side of the spectrum. On a somewhat lighter side, if you feel strongly about SP tax avoidance, please refrain from being part of the problem by not spending any more money on them

You dont declared all your incomes(illegall) earned to Revenue Canada. Whereas as me I paid all my taxes since I cannot work in the underground economy. Whereas you can. Leftwing people in that spectrum like you and your pinkos friends expected governments to tax and spend without consideration how much harm it does to the average taxpayer...who like me are really fed up working about half of year to paid off the taxes. Tax freedom day is july 1. That mean half of my incomes goes into paying all form of taxes(GST, payroll taxes,Fed taxes, Prov tax, Municpal taxes, incomes taxes, Garbage bag taxes or user fees , etc) . After July 1 the rest of my income I earned goes to me.
What I am trying to equates is that leftwing people like you and your pinkos friends expect the government to tax and spend without taking into consideration of how much they are hurting the average taxpayer like me. I am so fed up of paying so much in taxes. Just trying to get ahead in life. And enjoy my hard earned money...Not to lose it to wasteful spending life wing governments...in form of ehealth scandal, organe scandal, powerplant cancellation, etc. Is too much to ask for responsible governments who respect your hard earned money?
PS, When you dont declare all your income to Revenue Canada that means i am subsidizing you...that means you are not paying your fair share of taxes. When you are left wing person it basically you care about the other poorer people who are in that end of spectrum and expect the goverment to help them out..and be also happy paiding your taxes to help the other poor people in the other end of spectrum. This is what I figured what a leftwinger goverment or leftwinger person is.

they may vote...but Rob is Mayor for minimum 14 more days.
during that time he will file for leave to appeal.
if successful, he remains Mayor beyond the 14 days!

I doubt it going happens . They will move to removed Rob Ford. Leftwings Council already trying to get their pinkos friends like Adam Vaughan to be Mayour of Toronto. It all going to shit. They are all moving in the backroom deal trying to get their person into the Mayour seats. PS The best outcome I can hope for is Holdays become Mayour of Toronto. All I want is a fiscally responsible goverments and not keep taxing me to death. I see holidays is a good person who really care about the taxpayer money.
Holyday is by all accounts a decent guy and probably has been the one moving the current agenda forward.

I agree that would have been much better. The answer is the law as written does not allow the judge to do that. Once found in violation the judge's only options were to kick Ford out of office and ban him from politics for 7 years, or simply kick him out of office. It's a good example of the problem with "mandatory minimum" sentences--the minimum here is kicked out of office.
If the judge had full discretion instead of having to impose a minimum sentence (kicked out of office) I think a creative penalty would have been best. Instead of removing him from office require him to walk up and down queen street in front of city hall for a full 8 hours on a Saturday wearing a sandwich board sign that reads "I cheated the taxpayers of Toronto" on one side, and "I wrongly believed I was above the law" on the other.
