Is it just me or has the industry become too commercialized and corporate in the last 8 yrs? I remember being able to look in the Now, Eye, or Sun and find many true independent sp(s).

well...the internet and the ability to post in abundance...surely needs creativity to keeps things fresh...
those ads of yesteryear were really all toftt...those times i never saw ladies for an hour...you'd just never know until the door opened...
but seeing posts for the same people over and over say on bp...gets tiring...
as true independants...their service is what kept clients coming back...as opposed to know...where the reach for new clients is so much more broad...

you are right i think, just look at the "incall" review section..mostly organized escort services working from apartments and condos...back in 2002,3 4, when i saw SPs they all were independent ladies in their own places...now, probably when you get to an incall, its more like a barber shop, sitting there waiting for your turn...

Or girls of the past/semi-retired like Sexy Chanel, Janda (Egyptian), Maya Blu, Ariel Sanchez, Sugar (NY-Asian) etc etc.
All of the girls mentioned handled the entire show and have their own place. But 6-8yrs ago there were many girls like them and at various rates.

BP hardly has any true Indy(s). BP is mostly agencies, brothels, hotels, and pimps.... Before when Craigslists allowed escorts ads which were free, you could find true Indy(s) nested within all the ads.
TRZ back in the day was loaded with lots of Indy(s). Today once in a while you will find a good Indy ad.
I am confused. So a lady has to work from her own personal location, do her own web site, photos, ads, phones, driving etc all to be classified as indy?

Atmosphere and environment are also part of the service of the true Indy. **Intimacy** From my experiences, I prefer a nice private location (1 bedroom) as oppose to a busy hotel or condo (multiple bedroom).
If you are lucky and a good client, once in a while you will find an agency where you will get a private suite in a upscale condo.
So what is the difference between visiting a lady for a one hour session in her own condo versus a nice hotel?
I think you are totally lost on the true definition of an Indy. I am sorry but that is my opinion.
Just because a lady uses a hotel which is safer for her then her own private home doesn't mean she is not an independent. Why would a lady take such a risk having complete strangers coming to her home when hotels are so cheaply accessible now.
In my earlier post I listed you as a true Indy. It is a combination of the service, atmosphere, and environment. All three factors create an intimate encounter.

gollumtroll, I think you're trying to hard but don't know for what reason. There are many indies out there, just as many if not more than several years ago. For the record, one of my favourite indie was Sorel, real classy lady who provided outstanding service but always in a hotel......does that mean she wasn't indie? I'm confused, and frankly don't care, lol, I do know what an indie is.
I agree with your point. And I am all for the safety of the SP. You are correct, a SP that hosts from a hotel or shared accommodations is absolutely an Independent.
