looking at the box score, pretty positive. Bargs coming around? 17 pts 4 rebounds 3 assists.Raps, still too many turn overs, Lowry had 6.
JV looking real good. The second coming of Howard, and JV he can hit free throws.
Before we ge too excited, got to remember it is pre season....but it sure is a better pre season tnam last year!
Sure a lot better but great majority have been home games. In a number of these games the key difference seems to be the contribution made by the bench.

Agreed. It's got to be better having a winning pre-season that a losing one. So far it seems they have found ways to win games.

you are correct 5-0 at home 0-1 on the road. Winning beats the hell out of losing. And I agree, looks like there is a fair amount of depth. Again , lets see what happens when the season begins, at least we aren't dreading the season. I expect to see quality basketball and that will be a lot better than that crap we were subjected to last year.

is the game on TV tonight? I couldn't find it on the TV schedule. In fact the schedule I looked at didn't even have the home opener listed on television?

Raps finish 6 and 1 in the pre-season. At first I looked at the box score and thought somehow we won with the Grizzlies winning in all the major categories, BUT the forced a ton of turnovers....so it looks like the Toronto Defense racks up a win, even though from the score you wouldn't think there was any defense being played at any end.

6-1 is good so is the road win. Bargnani some decent offense in 18 min. but 1 rebound.
You have to look at the Memphis line up too. Gay and Gasol didn't play, however, the Raps are
learning to win and that is a good thing.
I really believe, barring injuries, the Raps will be very competitive this year and should grab a
playoff spot.

I am with you in regards to at least starting the season with a winning atmosphere . I like they also got a road win under their belt also . What does 6-1 mean ? It's better then 1-6 and last time the Raps had a great preseason they got 47 wins . I like there is no pampered stars on this team and a lot of young legs .

Oh by the way the Raps released Magloire sorry for spelling .

I followed things on yahoo for the first 6 minutes or so. Bayless seemed on fire with his shooting to that point. Strangely (?) at that stage Bargnani hadn't scored at all (if I remember correctly) so he must have played really well the remaining 12 minutes to pick up those 21 points.

The team was down by about 10 points after those first minutes, so I was left wondering what happened after that for the team, in particular Bargnani, to be able to turn things round so well.

R U sure about last years starters? Don't remember Gay, I do remember Rasual Butler.
Opps not Gay but it was Aaron Gray and opps again he started the year on the DL . Amir was starting at center with Jamual off the bench and yes Butler who I don't think is in the league was starting SF .

They are owned by MLSE(Bell / Rogers) with how many channels total and they cannot find one to televise opening night of Raptors regular season ?
I found out that tomorrow night's game is on TSN.

Looks to me like all Raptor games will be televised this season. TSN and Sportsnet
