First off wow is all I can say reading your post. But I'm going to keep this all above the belt. By that I mean skipping over the numerous offensive comments and stick to the stats part.I believe those stats. But not for the same reason. First I believe that given the global pattern of HIV infection, that these stats are underreported in the black community. I think that like everything else, black men don't give a fuck about anyone but themselves, and don't give a shit if they hurt anyone with their behaviours. That's why you see all these shooting by black people, all the innocent bystanders that they don't give a fuck about that get hurt in the crossfire, all the babies that get shot, and all the people just walking by that get killed (like Jane Creba, the eaton centre shootings, the "I ran out of watermelon, so I'll shoot everybody" bbq in scarbourough, etc. for example).
Because of this I believe black men are less likely to get tested for HIV and infect their partners regardless. I also think that white people are more likely to get tested, and thus the stats for this group are probably accurately reported. I also think that these stats are telling of the number of white women black men are likely to infect, and the number of truly stupid white women who would sleep with them and think that the reality of AIDS in this community won't affect them. I think what would be more telling is if there were stats on the number of white women that were infected by black men that have HIV. I would be willing to bet it would be around 80-90%.
Youre going to tell me that the stats everywhere else in the world are wrong, and Canada's stats when it come to black people and HIV are accurate? It's being underreported in this community.
Plus, those stats that you are quoting are referring to NEWLY HIV infected individuals, not the total number of infected. So I still believe it supports my view - that there are a lot of black men that already have HIV that are fucking super super stupid dumb as fuck white girls and infecting them.
Additionally, this just came out:
http://healthandfitness.sympatico.c..._high_hiv_infection_in_black_gay_men/aeaf1f68
However, I believe that this applies to the black community (gay or not) globally, as well as here and in the States.
Actually I read the opposite that hiv from drug use was not wores in poor urban areas in the US as many would assume. I'll see if I can find that article again....I would bet most new HIV infections are the result of injection drug use, and that the reason more blacks are infected is involvement in hard drugs.
I don't know of any data that singles them out, but they're poorer, and poorer people tend to be more involved in hard drugs. (Edit: Well frank's post above mine has some data that lots of blacks are getting infected this way.) In other words, I expect those HIV infections are happening among poor blacks who are involved with drugs. Maybe had drug use is linked with gang activities but I don't know that, it could be though.Just curious, but are you saying more Blacks are involved in hard drugs then whites are??
■Injection drug use exposure accounted for 17.7% of cumulative adult HIV case reports and 8.6% of cumulative adult AIDS cases up to December 31, 2008.I don't know of any data that singles them out, but they're poorer, and poorer people tend to be more involved in hard drugs. Most HIV infections these days are injection drug related. Most people have got the message about unprotected sex with strangers and that vector has been significantly reduced. In North America anyway, in 3rd world countries probably something different happening there.
2008, the MSM (men who have sex with men) exposure category continued to account for the largest proportion of positive HIV test reports among adults, representing 45.1% (557) of positive tests reportedI don't know of any data that singles them out, but they're poorer, and poorer people tend to be more involved in hard drugs. The majority of Blacks in Quebec are Haitians and they speak French. This suggests that the Black population in Quebec seems to be overrepresented in its proportion of AIDS cases.
Yeah I think later in the article they went on to explain it. I was just listing stats of incidence rather than explanations. But you are absolutely right. The majority of Blacks in Quebec are Haitians and they speak French.
It might not solve things, but cops are at least doing something. That will solve things
Toronto Police are investing $2 million to put hundreds of officers into gangs-and guns-plagued neighbourhoods after a wave of shootings.
Chief Bill Blair announced Thursday that 456 officers will be at downtown Caribbean Festival sites, 350 along the parade route Aug. 4, plus “significant” undercover teams seeking known criminals and hotheads.
After the 45th Caribana, which attracts 1 million visitors, 329 extra patrol officers will work “mandatory overtime” to keep troubled communities safe before high schools reopen Sept. 9, he told reporters.
“This is unprecedented,” but recent gang-style deadly gunfire “requires this response,” he said.
Blair said planning for the “new summer initiative,” including consulting community groups, began before the city’s worst mass shooting on July 16 on Danzig St., which left two people dead and 23 wounded.
“Our intent is not to over-police our communities, our intent is to overprotect them,” he said.
Lauding Premier Dalton McGuinty for renewing $5 million a year for the Toronto Anti-Violence Intervention Strategy (TAVIS) unit, Blair said money for extra patrols comes from “within our 2012 budget,” with some other policing functions necessarily reduced.
Police will also attend known events which — through community tips plus increased monitoring of Twitter and Facebook sites popular with young people — are identified as potential troublespots.
“I’m not sure we have to stand and police every barbecue,” Blair said. “If we get any kind of information there’s a risk, we’ll be there to mitigate.”
People fear reprisals, but safety requires co-operation, including testifying so gunmen can be jailed, he said. “If you know of a young person with a gun, you have to let us know.”
Agreeing some people distrust police, Blair said good relations have been established before in low-income public housing areas.
“Additional policing in your community is for your safety,” Audrey Campbell, president of the Jamaican Canadian Association, said. “Good, decent people are being caught in the crossfire.’
Campbell also said “we want to ensure that social programs continue. Social programs are also important in terms of prevention.”
Tropicana Community Services Toronto executive director Sharon Shelton said 1,600 youths got jobs this summer, providing skills, self-respect and hope.
Asking officers to show respect for decent people “in focused communities,” often in poverty, Shelton asked for residents “to take the lead and form partnerships, working with police ... even if you feel they have let you down in the past.”

Danzig St. shootings: Police charge boy with 2 counts of second-degree murder
Toronto police have charged a 17-year-old boy with two counts of second-degree murder in July’s mass shooting at a Scarborough street party.
The youth, whose name cannot be published under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was arrested Thursday and was scheduled to appear in court Friday afternoon.
He has also been charged with one count of attempted murder, 22 counts of aggravated assault and recklessly discharging a firearm in connection with the shootout at the Danzig St. party.
The Star has learned he is the same youth who was shot in early September while riding a bicycle along Chester Le. Ave in Scarborough. In that case, a 16-year-old boy with connections to another alleged Danzig St. shooter was charged with attempted murder days later.
The 17-year-old is the third person to face murder charges in the Danzig St. shootings.
Nahom Tsegazab, 19, was charged Thursday with two counts of second-degree murder.
Tsegazab, who goes by the name “Gifted,” was also charged with one count of attempted murder and 22 counts of aggravated assault. He had been in custody since days after the July 16 shooting, when he was charged with reckless discharge of a firearm.
Court documents show the attempted murder charge against Tsegazab is in relation to the 17-year-old boy who was charged Friday. That same 17-year-old was also shot at the Danzig party.
Toronto police have alleged that Tsegazab is a member of the Galloway Boys street gang.
Tsegazab, who was also shot the night of the party, appeared briefly in a Scarborough court Thursday afternoon wearing an orange jumpsuit, handcuffs and a grim expression. He was remanded into custody and is scheduled to return late next week.
Earlier this month, police charged 18-year-old Shaquan “Bam Bam” Mesquito with two counts of first-degree murder, one count of attempted murder in relation to the shooting of Tsegazab, and 23 counts of aggravated assault.
Police allege Mesquito is a member of the Malvern Crew, a rival gang to the Galloway Boys.
Police say guns were pulled when an altercation broke out between rival gangs after a member of the Malvern Crew was turned away from the Danzig St. party and returned with reinforcements.
Shyanne Charles, 14, and Joshua Yasay, 23, were killed in the gunfire.
Investigators are not necessarily alleging that Tsegazab fired the bullets that killed Charles or Yasay, but rather that his actions may have contributed to their deaths
