I think the Jays softened up the Yanks for Oakland.A's just took a series from the Yanks and apparently have kick ass pitching this year. Should be interesting.

By softened up, you mean they were over confident.I think the Jays softened up the Yanks for Oakland.
That's better than anything I could have come up with. So, sure.By softened up, you mean they were over confident.
Look on the bright side. He's a FA after this season, so if the Jays let him walk then you we can say it's no big loss. He is likely still the best 2B that will be available next year (Cano will have his option picked up) so his asking price can only go down. So, if he does get resigned (which I think is still a good possibility especially if Escobar moves) we could end up with a steal (at say $5m/year range) if he ever gets back to a .270 hitter, 20 HR, 60 RBI and 15+ steals mark next year.Over the last month (30 games) Kelly Johnson is hitting .183 with 36 strikeouts?
WTF?
Why?Adam Lind is hitting well again. Let's put him back at 1B. Never be satisfied with the status quo, always try to improve.
The Jays don't have that much to 'sell'.Well, Oakland has hot pitching and that could explain the lack of bats. But our own pitching performance has been just shameful. I agree. Sell off and stock up on prospects. It's time to start thinking about 2013.
This season is a write-off. They don't even play weekend games in the evenings so I can watch them on TV. Let's be fair to Bautista and trade him to a contender. He is wasting the best years of his life here. Where is Shea Hillebrand?Sell off and stock up on prospects. It's time to start thinking about 2013.
