Though about this thread today, https://terb.cc/vbulletin/showthread.php?114065-2006-MLB-Predictions&highlight=Cardinals (somewhat because I did pick the champs, but `YIKES` at my other picks - especially AL MVP), so I thought I`d give it a whirl for 2012.

AL East - Tampa Bay Rays (3)
AL Central - Detroit Tigers (1) (surprise, surprise)
AL West - L.A. Angels (2) (pitching and improved offense with Prince Albert and Kendry Morales)
AL Wildcards - Texas Rangers and Toronto Blue Jays (No Yanks?? Too old and pitching really isn`t much better than the Jays)

NL East - Washington Nationals (3) (Philly`s offense is pretty bad due to injuries)
NL Central - Milwaukee Brewers (1) (Prince is gone but the pitching is in tact)
NL West - San Fran Giants (2) (Pitching wins this enigmatic division)
NL Wildcards - Philadelphia Phillies and Cincinnati Reds

Al Wildcard Play-in - Jays shock the Rangers and get in
NL Wildcard Play-in - Phillies win on the back of pitching.

ALDS - Tigers over Jays and Angels over Rays
NLDS - Phillies over Brewers and Giants over Nationals

ALCS - Angels over Tigers
NLCS - Phillies over Giants
World Series - Phillies over Angels (That rotation dominates the short, restful series.)

I like your AL choices.

Per the NL, I do not see Washington making the play-offs.

East - Philly
Central - Cincy
West - Zona
WC's - Atl and SF

WS - Philly over the Angels.

I can dream of the Jays being in the big show....Fortunate that I was able to experience 2 championships

Even if they don't get into the playoffs, it would be nice to see the Jays play some meaningful games into the final week of the season,

The last Canadian team to play in meaningul games the last week of the season - the 1996 Montreal Expos. Been a long time.

My only prediction:

My Cubs will be last in the NL Central in July instead of June this year.
Make that 4th, forgot about Houston.

Ya, at second thought I don't see the Nats in either. I would pick the Phillies if their best bat wasn't Victorino. ATL is probably a better choice with Philly still as a WC IMHO. At least we agree with the final 2 and eventual champs. Who would think that Philly could (in our opinions) be the champs even with that decimated lineup?

Man was I wrong. My WS finalists didn't even make the postseason. But I did pick the eventual finalists to make the LCS'.
