did you actually see the gold bars or was it just gold on paper ? cuz gold on paper is almost not worth the paper it is written on. i can go to my brothers house and dig up enough gold and silver to live a comfortable life from the bars he has buried there. gold on paper though is not really worth much.
We went to the bank, pulled out some of those safety deposit box inner boxes. Inside one was 4 big smooth ugly shiny lumps stamped with information on the top. He took one out and I tried to pick it up. I played with it. The bar went back in the box, and the 4 bars went into my safety deposit box space.

As opposed to being for rent? If you want to be picky mine was as well. And I did give him his key to my box the next day, so I guess in theory I was worth my weight in gold, but he is worth about 1/2 his weight in gold to me?

if you loved him for him, when he offered money you would ave turned it down. lots of rich people get married and turn shit down because they are there cuz they want to be there. if you were there for anything other than money, you would have said no without hesitation.
i can tell you right now, if i was him first would have been a prenup, you would have complained and tried to fuck me into forgetting about it i am sure but prenup. then as soon as i offered to give you your weight in gold and you said yes, i would have known right at that second you only gave a fuck about my money, i would have taken back the offer and had the marriage annulled.

nope i have no conditions on real love. i have a woman now that i am happy with and there are no conditions to it what so ever. no money comes between it, no offers were made, nothing like that. i wake up in the morning, she smiles at me and i am happy for the rest of the day. random texts just to say hi, make me smile.
you have said yourself love is confusing, love itself is not confusing, love for money is confusing. he made the offer, you said yes, now it is confusing. when you saw it was a real offer and not just talk you should have backed out and said no. now you have it, you gave him a key to something he can't take without your permission, you love him and only him and don't give a fuck about the money, give it all back, tell him you just wanted him to prove how committed he was to you that instead of loyalty, you wanted to see if he was financially committed to you. if you really love him for him, give it all back.
hun, have you never had a joint safety deposit box? He already as it, he does not need to 'take it back'. When we dropped off the new signature card at the bank it was back in the joint property stuff on defined in the Pre-nup.
you said he signed over ownership of the gold bars to you, go to the bank and give it back to him, take your name off the ownership of it. tell him it was an amazing gesture, you will love him forever but you don't want it, that it was just some test. take the money out of it and just go back to loving him for who he is not what he gave you. it's tainted now, you can't see it cuz you got gold in your eye or maybe it's your age but it's tainted.
