That's the first time I've heard about this. I've been rejected by white girls all my life, only had success with brown/black girls. Are you trying to make up excuses, most girls find white men more attractive than minorities. It's a fact.
are you tall?

or do you see more white dudes with girls because there are more white guys in general? if there were equal numbers of all types of men teh maybe making observations like yours would be easy

Nah. Below Average. 5'6"

Yes, but I guess I'll need a bit more statistics to be sure. But here are stats from okCupid, a dating site.

http://originalspin.posterous.com/okcupidcom-releases-stats-on-race-and-dating
Hmmmm..... if this survey is close to reality then what choice do all these short minority men have?!!!!??? Date black chicks. :D Wonder how Beyonce is doing with Jay Z......

Ultimately I'm more interested in things that successful guys at dating I can emulate or adapt. Stuff like height and race I'll just accept as things I can't change.

then you also have reading comprehension problems, since my post referred to tall black guys.
If those stats are credible I think it mentioned that black guys don't get particularly good response rates. Kinda takes a piss in the face of guys convinced that the stereotypical thug is stealing all the women. If anything it's probably white guys who seem to get around the most in terms of dating interacially.....again if you accep those stats.... which I'm 50 50 on.

First off, I haven't given up on dating, but I find at 5'7" and 155 lbs, I have had an extremely hard time getting dates. My experiences have been echoed by others on here.

I continue to ask out single women who are shorter than me, only to be turned down. It's extremely hard on the ego knowing that they would rather be single than go on one lousy date with me to find out more about me, but then I see their new boyfriends months later, and see that they are around 6 feet. I never had a chance to begin with because I wasn't physically their type.

The only thing I can do is keep looking and asking, because you miss every shot you don't take.
I never like putting people down except for rude assholes, but poorboy, you are not that short. Below average and you could put on a few pounds but not short at all. I remember you mentioning that you make good money, so I'm guessing your weakness is poor flirting techniques and maybe wardrobe is too boring. You probably are one of those boring guys who talk about the weather and shit. I don't know you but for a guy making close or over 100k and 5'7, it must be your social skills or lack of towards the opposite sex.

Actually 155 is not a bad weight for him.

Another TERB lady calls you whiners, plain and simple. Is there a trend here? I haven't checked but I think this distaff members are unanimous on that point.
It's hard to trust any women who says what she is looking for in a man. Most of the times they end up with guys who have the opposite traits. Besides most women don't like to admit they want to date good-looking guys, wealthy guys, or just plain bad boys for fear of looking shallow and stupid.

They could have chosen to say nothing. I've heard the same thing from women that I am close to who have nothing to gain from telling me this.

We've all seen weird couples or unexpected couples. Must be some truth to it.

It may be hard for 'you' to trust them. It appears you're part of the gang that thinks women don't know what they want. then followed by they lie.

It appears you've exposed your problem quite well.

nothing personal to the girls that have commented on this thread but they are not gonna give a real answer. if they come on here and say short guys are less attractive, then short guys won't be calling them and they lose a bit of business.
I'm a civilian, with no interest in any of your wallets or your cocks. So I have no reason to sugarcoat or lie about anything.

I bet you that a tall black guy can get women 20 times easier than a short white guy. All he needs to do is to concentrate on tall chicks, whose choice is limited to tall guys due to their standards.
I'm a tall chick, and when I peruse dating sites there are very few men who indicate a willingness to date someone taller than himself. So my choice isn't necessarily limited by my standards, but by theirs.

I can only speak for myself, and a few friends I discussed it with, but we have a mental score card we use to judge men, and it includes different items with different weights depending on the woman, how we feel that day, and a lot of other things. For me in general:

Guy makes me laugh +100 points
Guy makes me yawn -200 points
Guy is ugly - 25 points
Guy is short - 25 points
Guy has a chip on his shoulder because he is ugly or short -1,000 points
Guy has a chip on his shoulder and over compensates for a lack of personality - 1,000 points

Men who whine are not pleasant. they get - 10,000 points

and on and on

but the point is, any guy with a chip on his shoulder is a huge turn off and it is not worth having the guy around.

The other point is, no one is accepted or rejected for only one thing.
Amen! My only change would be I'd give +500 for making me laugh.

After following this thread and trying to give some of you some encouragement and then following this thread some more, I've changed my mind. You short guys who are so determined to blame your height for your lack of dates should just give it up and buy a blowup doll. Not a tall one, though.

I'm not short (unless you consider 5'8 short) and I can still get dates if I actually want to. But I understand the frustration of short guys in this thread. It sucks because most women prefer their guys taller. Even some short girls like their guys over a foot taller than them! Incredible!

I just think if a guy is 5'4 and under it's a real challenge but it's always better to at least have sex with escorts than be a virgin letting life pass you by. This is a reference to all the short virgin guys that I actually no in real life.

I didn't give up on dating, but I did get demotivated. I was a bit of a slow starter had my first girlfriend last year in my mid 20s. I loved her and she was always withholding sex, saying she wanted to go slow which really was fine with me. I would've married her, cept she broke it off telling me she never felt anything for me and their was no romantic chemistry, this after she told me she was scared I might've left her when she said she wanted to go slow, and after we met each others parents etc. I'm new to the hobby but I think I do it because my heart isn't on the line (although some sps are pretty good at getting you to fall for em lol).

It's weird to say but with an sp I think I'm compensating from my ex, this time I'm in control and it's pure sex. I still date, just haven't felt that connection to anyone else yet kinda feel a little broken to tell you the truth, but I try mainly because I still believe having sex with someone you love and who loves you back must be the best thing in the world (haven't felt it yet).

i don't think I'm undesireable, a little chubby but 6 ft 3, well groomed, good job, education, personality lol although a minority but honestly dating I've learned is a game and I don't really like the bs and dishonesty associated with it, lol but I'm totally jaded at the moment.

At 5'8 your average,so no I don't. Taller than them or taller than 5'8". A guy 5'4" and under are short, so unless you plan to go the C&B route, suck it up and work on your strengths. You say that women prefer them tall but the ladies on TERB tell you different big time.

Wow. By your point system, you don't like many men. The only way a man can be your on plus side if he can make you laugh. Everything else is a minus.

How come no one complains about being too tall to find girls? Would a typical 5'5 girl prefer to date a 6'8 guy or a 5'4 guy?

It's possible some of the whiners on this BB are making big points with her in the laugh category.

I'm at a point now (mid 30s) where I make 100k plus, I have assets and savings for a high value amount, I can make more money if I decide to take a more challenging job.....so I'm financially OK.

But more importantly, I've realized, I'm a good person and the person who I liked didn't see that.

So after putting myself out there for the wrong person and not being appreciated, I have ZERO desire to prove myself to some random, club hopping chick in this city.

I'd like to find someone who has accomplished something for herself, has a good personality, is a GOOD person and well, a decent looker and then I'd be interested. Otherwise, I don't care right now for "selling" myself to women as some act of dating ritual.

I have a couple of dates setup through friends and this time, I'd want to know what does the girl have to offer me rather than sell myself to her like a job interview.

I did say "and on and on"

The point was that an ugly short guy who is honest and makes me laugh is very much in the positive side. But once a guy starts whining and having a chip on his shoulder, I am no longer interested.

I think you guys have a similar point system. You just focus more on our bodies.
