I can only speak for myself, and a few friends I discussed it with, but we have a mental score card we use to judge men, and it includes different items with different weights depending on the woman, how we feel that day, and a lot of other things. For me in general:
Guy makes me laugh +100 points
Guy makes me yawn -200 points
Guy is ugly - 25 points
Guy is short - 25 points
Guy has a chip on his shoulder because he is ugly or short -1,000 points
Guy has a chip on his shoulder and over compensates for a lack of personality - 1,000 points
Men who whine are not pleasant. they get - 10,000 points
and on and on
but the point is, any guy with a chip on his shoulder is a huge turn off and it is not worth having the guy around.
The other point is, no one is accepted or rejected for only one thing.
