I think the wear and tear of a long season is getting him. Maybe platoon him with Molina for the rest of the year. I suspect he might also have a broken hand.Defensively he is weak and offensively inconsistent.
You can put Johnny mac into any defensive position, and I'm sure he'll get the job done , I'm not sure on this, but I think he can even be a catcher.I think the wear and tear of a long season is getting him. Changing subjects a little bit. What are the Jays going to do with Aaron Hill? Johnny Mac could probably play better at 2B and hit at least as good as Hill if not better but Johnny is 35 years old now.
For sure the Jays don't give a rat's ass if their (hopefully) catcher of the near and distant future causes permanent damage by playing through this type of injury not to speak of the damage to his confidence by not being able to bat properly.I suspect he might also have a broken hand.
Right on. I'd also like to see Stewart get the 5th spot. He was the key piece in the Rolen deal, and has good stuff (low 90's FB, with a shitload of movement). Mills is a journeyman and Litsch just plain sucks. The only people that seem to like Litsch is the media, wilth Wilner as fanclub chairman.Jays are going with a 4-man rotation this week.
Litsch, Stewart and Mills have been mentioned as potential callups when they go back to a 5-man rotation.
Would like to see them give Zach Stewart another look. He pitched well when he was called up for 3 games last time. He doesn't blow you away with the fastball. He has the ability to pitch into the 7th and keep the game close. Also, his mental makeup is good. He doesn't lose it like Drabek does.
Simple. I watch games on TV and saw him take at least 2 foul tips off his bare thumb. For what its worth Google "Arencebia thumb" and you'll get 200,000 hits. Query: Where do you get your nonsense?Where do you come up with nonsense like this?
So you figure the Jays are letting him play with a broken thumb/hand?Simple. I watch games on TV and saw him take at least 2 foul tips off his bare thumb. For what its worth Google "Arencebia thumb" and you'll get 200,000 hits. Query: Where do you get your nonsense?
you start by building up the middle so at the moment they need a catcher a centrefielder and maybe a second baseman. Pitching needs another starter, need a closer and some help that can throw strikes. Team is further away from being a contender than they want you to believe. Farm system is developing and that is where the bulk of the help will have to come from. What is the one position the Jays should try to correct most for 2012 ?
- Closer ?
- Infieder ... maybe Longoria from Tampa ?
- Outfielder ... maybe Kemp from LAD ?
- Starting Pitcher
I would say closer, once you have a guy you know who can close games , it's starts a domino effect where the entire bullpen falls into place and they play in the roles that suit them best, which in turn helps the starting rotation. What is the one position the Jays should try to correct most for 2012 ?

Athletes play hurt all the time. Just to make you happy, let's change "broken" to "damaged" hand. I think his batting average dropped from .250 to .210 because he played with a damaged hand. However, his damaged hand might have healed by now. (I don't rule out the possibility that he might have suffered a hairline fracture in his hand --- i.e. broken hand.)So you figure the Jays are letting him play with a broken thumb/hand?
You're right. Now I'm happy.Athletes play hurt all the time. Just to make you happy, let's change "broken" to "damaged" hand.
