It's past midnight and his carriage has turned into a pumpkin. What's happened to Bautista's power? He's not even reaching the warning track on most of his at bats.
IT IS BACK BABY! IT IS BACKWhat's happened to Bautista's power? He's not even reaching the warning track on most of his at bats.
we got the W NO PROBLEM......well maybe a small one.Damn! They took Morrow out of the game and now we have a tie game instead of a W.
Are closers groomed in the minors or are they identified at the major league level?Damn I actually miss Gregg, can't believe I'm saying that.
What is amazing is that he is also hitting .330 and his on base percentage is north of 1. Plus, he is handling success with humility and maturity. Maybe he appreciates it so much more because success came late in baseball life at age 29.Bautista is on pace to hit 57.5 home runs.
Wrong again, Rocky. What is amazing is that he is also hitting .330 and his on base percentage is north of 1.
I wonder what the record is for blown saves in a season?Bautista is carrying this team. without him it isn't even mediocre.
The bullpen sucks.15 blown saves to date.
And they only had all of 16 I believe last year...the Jays 15 blown saves
I don't know the stats, but some of those blown saves still became wins, such as Rauch on Friday or Saturday. He blew the save but got the win when Bautista homered in the 10th.BJ's have had 35 save opportunities... can you imagine where they would be if they had converted 28 or 29 of them instead of only 20?
About 51/40 [a couple of those blown saves became wins] and right in the thick of the pennant chase...
The one thing that has been consistent about the BJ's this year and over the past few years is inconsistency.
I don't understand what it is that so many talented players underperform in Toronto?!

What is even more amazing is that SI picked Gonzales of the Bosox as MVP to this point of the season. What is amazing is that he is also hitting .330 and his on base percentage is north of 1. Plus, he is handling success with humility and maturity. Maybe he appreciates it so much more because success came late in baseball life at age 29.
Please tell me you don't want to reverse the Brandon League trade.Brandon League(remember him?) has 23 saves to lead the AL with 4 blown saves.
