Yoga, how did you find and unearth this thread 5 months later? LOL

As for classical, HELL YA, ESPECIALLY in the car in traffic. It calms my road rage right the hell down.
Sometimes I'll even pop in my little cousin's Harry Potter soundtrack which he left in my car. That stuff really calms me right the hell down. :D

Hilary Hahn

With all due respect to Vengerov and Perlman; currently the best violinist on the planet.

I've never sported a handlebar mustache, but I get the impression that someone is making fun of me? It's Mozart, I'm flattered actually.

I don't pretend to be an aficionado at all, but I do find most classical music very relaxing. Great background music when sitting reading, etc.
I put on a classical cd every night as I go to bed and that's what I fall asleep to.

One of the greatest pieces from the 20th, and from Russia overall. But it was written in outrage of Stalin and his excesses not for lovemaking or even fucking. Catch the mid-50's version by Bernstien and the NY philharmonic, done in one take, it is awesome in its raw power. The composer himself thanked this orchestra personnally when they played the old USSR, saying they sounded exactly as he had heard the music in his head

Somehow I can't picture you falling asleep to this:

It all depends on the pre-head to pillow activities!

Also, when I was a "kid" I used to go to sleep to Styx - Equinox. Funny what relaxes some people, I know.

Pardon me as I nod off to that clip. zzzzzzzzz

For myself, I listened to classical music throughout college, it enhanced my concentration. Any other form of music would just annoy me. Being classically trained (I'm a lapsed cello player) I could never fall asleep to it.
