I'd rather endure a Wasabi enema than live in the "city"
What this article misses is the reason why people move out to Suburbia are for many reasons outside of "more house for your dollar".....thats just the iicing on the cake.
I hate the cramped "city" living; I just cant relax.
I hate public transit and rather enjoy driving so live in the city or not I'm still owning a car and I'm going to drive it.
The inconveience is dreadful because its far too busy...theres always "something" going on in the city and nothing would irk me more than being held up on the weekend when all I want to do is go home after running errands.
I like the idea of going about my business without having to pay for parking.
I like that my neighbor isnt right in my face.
I like that I can go outside and detail my car on my driveway
I like having a spacious yard where I can shill out and BBQ
All the "things to do downtown" doesnt impress me none at all...it gets old...it all gets old. You're not going to pay a premium to eat at all those fancy restaraunts all the time and you eat at enough of these joints and you realize all they are selling you is a baron plate with a side of POMP...pass. I'd rather have a satisfying steak at the Keg than buy some over priced high falutent diatribe...pass once again
The very idea of living my entire life all within a 10 minute walk of home would drive me up the wall
I dont buy that traffice is worse in the burbs than the city nonsense.... I know Toronto WELL and still get held up on just about every street because they lack lanes and are packed.... I get around teh burbs in a cinch and am not stressed or annoyed at all.
....list goes on and on. I'll pay a premium for that.
