Sorry in my previous post I said Holland should win the WC, I meant Argentina.

Here
I was going to predict a Spain vs Argentina final... but that can't happen unless one of them comes out second in their group... but it will be a great semi-final!

And I predict that Messi will prove himself worthy of comparison to Pele and Maradona (without the hand of God!)... I'd love to watch him perform in top form now that we have such vastly improved, big screen, HD TV technology!

I can't wait for the show to start!

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLL!!!!

Here
If there is a God, Argentina will not win and their cheating drug addict manager will die in a pool of his own vomit in a back alley with a dog pissing on his bloated corpse.
Does that mean that you love Diego?

What does Juventus, or Italy for that matter, have to forgive Zidane for? You should issue a stamp of the head butt because without Zidane losing his cool Italy wouldn't be world champions.
Considering how I defended Portugal (in 06) when Rooney went Neanderthal your broadside surprises me.

A case could be made that France didn't deserve their penalty or that Toni was not off-side when he scored, but it's history.

Mediocrity appeared today in South Africa.

Mexico has some individual good players but have no plan and certainly no style. Their goalie is a stiff. Dos Santos was working his ass off and I loved that my boy Rafa Marquez scored. Why Aguirre didn't start Guardado is beyond me. They are not world class futbol. Although, it was poetic the first goal of the tournament was scored by South Africa.

France has moments of brilliance in Riberry and then he disappears for these huge chunks of time. The players hate Domenech anyway so good riddance. They'll ne kicking themselves for leaving Benzema off the roster.

At least we know today which teams WILL NOT win the Jules Rimet trophy this year.

No one will. It's still missing. ;)

Argentina's defense is being exposed by a shitty Nigerian team. They'll need lucky draws to progress. Maradona is a silly strutting caricature of a coach.

Why is Veron starting ahead of Pastore, that makes no sense to me?

Is Pastore even on this team?

Wow. Very unconvincing. Argentina is just Tevez and Messi. They might be better off starting without Messi in order to force the rest to play as a team. Right now they look like they've got only one plan, get the ball to Lionel. Nigeria was unlucky and did a good job of keeping on top of Messi. If Argentina brings this game against S.K., they'll lose.

Oh, and it's Riquelme's absence that is the most felt in this team. They've got no one pulling the strings.
