Might I add that two ex leafs were on for the second goal and one of them SCORED the goal? Goes to show you the leafs management knows not what the F they are doing.....

Halak does his best Dryden, Roy impression and steals the series for the Habs.

Pens are up next. Another tall order for the Habs but after seeing this anything is possible.

Gill and Georges are the shut down pair for the Habs? Who would have guessed.

I don't think anyone saw that coming, especially Ovechkin & Semin. Crosby will be more difficult to contain, but at 6'7" & 240lbs and blocking nearly everything Ovechkin offered, Crosby may be wise to review the game tapes of Gill before Friday.
Spacek will only add to the defensive wall. Any word on his return? Pittsburg will be tough.

I'm a Leaf fan and all I can say is wow. I think the Caps still had the ringing of "Ole, ole, ole" in their heads. What a shame, hometown boy Mike Camalleri didn't sign with Toronto last summer; he's been really impressive. As much as I hate to say this, the Habs are Canada's team this year.

Why would it be silly...he had a 50/50 chance.
Actually the Caps were the heavy favourite to win the series as well as game 7 in their home rink.

The problem is that nobody told that to Halak and co.

Really good to see Jacques Martin get the win.

He got the wrong end of the stick many times with the Sens due to running into unbelievably hot goaltending (CuJo, Hasek)

Now as they say the worm has turned.

the Great 8 was not much of a factor tonight and Now it sid the kid and Company.
Ovie is the best individual player in the game but the playoffs are a team effort.

This is the one thing that Sidney has figured out that Alex has not yet.

When he does watch out.

WHat kind of pisses me off is the attitude of many asshats in toronto. I was listening to The Edge 102.1 and the DJ was asking "who do you cheer for"? and a bunch of 'tards were spouting on about hating Montreal. Sure, we have this hockey rivalry going on but it is a no brainer: a US team with an arrogant F wad and a Canadian Team? You CHEER for the Cdn team......I mean I hate the Sens too but I was cheering for them during their round......

It's implied that the poster was certain Washington was going to win. Here's the news:

1. Playoffs is an entirely different season
2. There will be no shootouts
3. There is no "I" in "TEAM" Somebody needs to right that on the blackboard 100 000 000 million times. ALEX!
4. Choke!

Now, I don't know if the "HABS" can do it again versus the Penguins, they're still the champs. However, I will always be a "HABS" fan! As for Halak being great in goal, he did his job! That's more than Alex can say!

Here's Ovechkin's Job Performance Appraisal:

Positive:
50 goals
President's Trophy
All star
Mvp

Negative:
2 game misconducts
1 suspension
Multiple cheap shots
Out in the first round
Can't finish in game 7
No Stanley Cups
No Stanley Cup appearances
Selfish, Individualist player

Oh ya, No junior gold and no olympic gold.

I'm with you on this one.

I grew up a diehard habs fan living in Ottawa before the Sens as we know them.

When the Sens arrived I adopted them as my team but still love the habs. When they play each other it is hard for sure.

But if the Leafs were in the playoffs I would cheer for them agaist any other team but MTL and the Sens.

I have to admit thoughthat some of the Sens fans are too arrogant for their own good.

Until you have won the cup you really shouldn't be bragging about anything and a lot of them just don't shut up.

when they were up 3-0 on the Pens the other night and the fans were chanting FLEURY..FLEURY that just disgusted me.

And sure enough they looked like idiots when they lost. Serves them right.

You know why those "Leaf fans" really cheered for Washington? Because, they only cheer for losers!

Oh yeah, Habs (AHL-team) Hamilton Bulldawgs are pretty decent too. How's the Marlies season going?

You know why ticket prices keep going up for Leafs, Raptors, Jays, Argos, TFC, because they get any playoff revenue!

I don't follow girls sports, but didn't TFC win something last season?

They won the Canada cup vs Montreal, which is the same sort of game the Jays/Expos played LB Pearson trophy.

MLS is expanding into Canada in the next few years, there will be a Canadian tournament of those teams to send a rep to Concaff Cup. Sort of like Eupopean cup.

HH, soccer, called football everyone else, is not a girls sport. It's the most played game around the world. In fact, Oakville has the second largest club program in North American for all ages.
