They won the Canada cup vs Montreal, which is the same sort of game the Jays/Expos played LB Pearson trophy.

MLS is expanding into Canada in the next few years, there will be a Canadian tournament of those teams to send a rep to Concaff Cup. Sort of like Eupopean cup.

HH, soccer, called football everyone else, is not a girls sport. It's the most played game around the world. In fact, Oakville has the second largest club program in North American for all ages.

It's the most played game because third world countries can find a ball and a patch of dirt. Little harder for them to find a rink, ice, and hockey equipment. Or pads, goal posts, and helmets.

Lots of great players do not have Olympic gold, or a Stanley Cup championship on their resume.

Two that come immediately to mind are Saku Koivu and Darryl Sittler.

Saku...well, played in the wrong decade.

Saku was coming as king Patrick Roy was leaving in the disasterous trade with The Avs.

Three stiffs ( thibeault.Rucinsky and Kovalenko) plus they gave up Mike Keane.

Farking Rejean Houle wrecked them for years all in one move.
