This is very fucked up.
This is very fucked up.
And you just fingered one of the primary reasons.
Still might be better than one of my most influential decision helpers. My dick helps with many of my decisions. He seems to make a strong argument at the time but the is unable to see any of the long term consequences. This is very fucked up.
Respectfully no it is not. This is very fucked up.
"Many of us might assume that people of higher social class standing tend to reject beliefs about divine intervention," Scott Schieman, a sociology professor at the University of Toronto, said. "My findings indicate that while this is true among those less committed to religious life, it is not the case for people who are more committed to religious participation."
who said that in order to understand how stupid Americans are you have to look at how stupid an average American is and then realize that 50% of them must be stupider than that?
LOL, I think I heard that joke from George Carlin.who said that in order to understand how stupid Americans are you have to look at how stupid an average American is and then realize that 50% of them must be stupider than that?
Good lord.... (no pun )82 percent of participants reported that they depend on God for help and guidance in making decisions.
71 percent said they believe that when good or bad things happen, these occurrences are simply part of God's plan for them.
61 percent indicated they believe God has determined the direction and course of their lives.
32 percent agreed with the statement: "There is no sense in planning a lot because ultimately my fate is in God's hands.
Yepper!90% of the world's population is "strongly" religious or greater.
That would be the Mean American, actually, but the Average American wouldn't understand the term.who said that in order to understand how stupid Americans are you have to look at how stupid an average American is and then realize that 50% of them must be stupider than that?
That's a number I just don't get, since a third of the worlds population lives in a mostly non religious country, unless you think of politics as a religion.90% of the world's population is "strongly" religious or greater.
George was wise beyond his time. He is missed and makes me hurt and split my side every time. Right on the nail George.Carlin rules big time
Actually, that would be the Median American! That would be the Mean American, actually, but the Average American wouldn't understand the term.
Equally true of Canadians of course.
yeah, I know it would be median, and of course the average one would not understand itActually, that would be the Median American!
I agree with your sentiments. However, there is evidence that the less control people have over their lives, the more likely they are to be religious. Thus, since people cannot control whether they are the victim of a terrorist attack, such events could make them more religious.Good lord.... (no pun )
Then why didnt 71% of Americans who beleive in "God's Plan" chill the fuck out when 911 happened?....after all that was part of gods plan....cant argue with that
Your comments are on the mark with one small suggested change as noted.I agree with your sentiments. However, there is evidence that the less control people have or want over their lives, the more likely they are to be religious. Thus, since people cannot control whether they are the victim of a terrorist attack, such events could make them more religious.
