Give it a rest dim bulb and let them have their day. I told you I wasn't in the mood.I'm acquaited enough to know there's a mean anti-american streak from Ottawa all the way down. That said while there's both good and bad eveywhere I'm tired of all the knee-jerk bias against the U.S. Just enjoy it and move on sheesh.
P.S. You're quite welcome Canada for our miltary protection tho many cdns probably don't realize it.
Unbelievable. You're even dumber then you think I think you are. You take the moment of one Canada's proudest sporting days to unlease this tripe. And here I thought MLAM made me embarrassed to be an American. What the Hell is wrong with you?Good grief I'd need an eternity to address every single B.S. claim about my country here. EVERY country has debt. Japan currently has the most per capita. Sure we could stand to lose it but if you think for a second we're gonna fall from our current superpower status... keep dreaming.
Besides what do you think the fall out would be for the Canada and the rest of the planet if that occured? BTW you're quite welcome to be exempt from Obamao's Buy American policy
Boo Fucking Hoo . This is a sports thread. At least confine your vitriol and ignorant comments to the topic at hand.Good grief Asterix. I was originally trying to defend America from the spurious commetns that the men were behaving in a less than civil manner. Not true. It's all too common I feel to want to piss on U.S. at any given moment whether real or imagined and I'm fed up with it. Also, I'll never be anything but proud to be an american and no not even a fellow american like yourself can make me feel otherwise. Cheers

1. Are you a descendent of the hillbillies from deliverance?Enjloy it Canada. We're still the superpower. You're still irrelevant.
You're a sore loser, thats what you are. If USA had won you'd come on Terb just to rub it in.I'm tired of all the knee-jerk bias against the U.S.
You dont get much sex do you??!!To answer your B.S. HOF
1)No
2)The big lie. I've been to some great countries and never had top lie about being american. I've always been treated warmly. There's good and bad everywhere.
3) I'm entitled to my opinions. Illegal? In some places yes in others no. Just like Canada. Even in "illegal" practices the justice system can hardly be bothered.
4) Canada wasn't a country until 1867. We torched York (now toronto.) The Brits who sailed from Bermuda burned Washington and were destroyed trying to get to Baltimore which was the target. Francis Scott Key was so inspired he wrote the star-spangled banner. Neither side won or lost. Google Treaty Of Ghent. Of course if you want a rematch....
5) You were ordered to and did an excellent job in the days that followed.
6) No allies? Except Canada. The U.K. Italy, Israel, Germany, South Korea, Japan, The Phillipines
7) Banking System? Please for all of Bush's faults the bailout worked and we're still the superpower in case you haven't noticed. The world doesn't fuckin' piss without U.S.
Useless. I tried to explain it to you gentle like, that you were making an ass out of yourself and are basically an attention whore. You've managed to bore me silly, so I will leave it up to my Canadian friends to either ignore you or be even less kind then I was.To answer your B.S. HOF

Riiiiiiiiiiight. You're on Terb just for the articles and stimulating political discussionMore than enough and I don't have to pay for it either lol. Well minues the jewellery and dinners etc. lol.
You speak only for yourself.Enjloy it Canada. We're still the superpower. You're still irrelevant.
Hardly.
Like Cassie Campbell said at the women's ceremony, it's a devastating situation. You've just lost the gold medal game. She said, and I've heard several other athletes say in interviews:
''you lose gold, you win bronze''. Tomorrow, and in the days to come, the U.S. players will appreciate the medal more than they did today. The Canadian players would have reacted much the same way, had the game gone the other way.
On edit, what JTK said as well .
In most other sports the athletes got some time to reflect, but in the hockey games the medals were handed out immediately.Anyone who comes that close to gold and loses has a right to be devastated, but I too was extremely disappointed at both American hockey teams after the games.
Probably more so for the men, because most of them have extremely lucrative careers to return to tomorrow.
Many medals were decided by a few hundreds of a second and most of the athletes had the strength of character to suck it up and be gracious in their loss. and for many of them, that loss represented a huge miss at a once in a lifetime shot at being the best.
As I watched the US men's hockey team accept their silver medals, I thought a few of them were not going to actually take the medal. What a spoiled bunch of elitists. Far too many athletes make huge sacrifice just to be at the games.
I am usually a proud supporter of our American neighbours but their attitude after the hockey games was a poor display.

I did not see anything wrong with the US reaction while they received their medals. They just lost in OT after tying the game. Huge emotional let down. Their expressions were understandable.
