Sid the Kid Does It Again! Clearly the torch is now passed from Wayne and Mario to the new Canadian Golden Boy!

Geez, CG, did you have that already prepared?

At 22, the KID certainly has proven himself on the ice.

Canada set a record with 14 gold medals!

Great game.

I'll never understand why teams take the foot off the gas in such situations and try to defend a lead for such a crazy amount of time as 15 minutes in a hockey game! Still, they pulled it out of the fire. Great victory.

It was a great game and both teams are responsible for that. It's a rivalry, BUT it's a friendly rivalry and because of that we saw some awesome hockey today. This was a good positive moment in our history.Cheers

Joannie Rochette will carry the flag at the closing ceremonies. Although not a gold medallist, she displayed courage under extreme adversity and tastes a bitter sweet pleasure honouring our country and her mother. She is certainly a champion in my books. God bless her!

Joannie also received the Terry Fox award.

Did someone mention Joy???

...:)

Just as an important aside the Americans played one hell of a game. Both teams where very evenly matched.

Boy the yanks behaved badly at the medal ceremony!!
Why would you say that. They were dejected, sad because they lost, but they didn't behave badly.

I think in the future they will look back and say, "I won a Silver Medal at the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver" No small achievement. The Americans played a very hard and competative game and frankly, we got lucky.

Hockey has come a long way in the USA in the last 25 years. The Americans used to be a joke. Not anymore. With a huge population compared to us it only makes sense that with time they will improve even that much more.
