another brutal error by babcock tonight. with a huge lead, rick nash draws a penalty shot. he let's crosby take it instead of allowing nash to build his confidence with his first ever olympic goal.

on a good note, at least he benched pronger and made the obvious call to start luongo over brodeur. my favorite sign for the entire olympics has to be that guy with the huge luongo head.

All academic now in hindsight as Nash did score a "regular" goal later. I like the international icing rule. Whistle blows as soon as the puck crosses the red line.

Babock is horrible...His talented players on Detroit made him look like a genius!
As for the Brodeur & Luongo situation, i would've let Luongo stay as the starter just becuase he got the shutout.

I hate to say this, but Canada is looking real bad and the chances of us getting any medal is up in air.
Half of our team is too old and slow to keep up with these youngsters.
Pronger & Neidermayer is our first line of Defense?? I mean come on, these 2 guys a well past their prime.
No disrespect to my boy Stevie Y, but i would've prefered the great one to select the team.
Gretzky at least would of chose the right team to compete at this high level, but unfortunately for Stevie Y, his friendship with those veterans from the Salt Lake Team was not worth leaving out...

Gretzky did a great job picking that team..... Mind you.. its a shame that at the time more ppl were interested in his wife's gambling scandal and the distraction affected the team.
