Trying to generalize and make blanket statements like why are all the local women are cold heartless bitches may be a reflection of YOUR attitude towards THEM.
I was raised with the attitude,
treat people the same way you yourself would like to be treated. (Thanks Mom!) Yes, I said people... not just women, but everyone. I honestly do try and live by that motto, but occasionally you run into someone that is being a bitch or an asshole, and they may not be receptive to your positive attitude at first... but press forward without negativity and you may just find that the person is just having a bad day, or has his or her guard up for one reason or another and you may just be able to turn the situation around. You never know...
TRUE STORY: The very first time I met Mrs. CG, she gave me some negative attitude... which some would consider as being cold and heartless... (I have spoken about the story before...) I was in a women's clothing store looking for green sweat pants for my Halloween costume that could possibly fit me... She seriously looked at me as if I was from another planet, and thought "what a complete fruit loop" (she told me later...) and snapped (with a negative attitude) "You know we just sell women's clothing here!"... . I pressed ahead and said, "yes, I realize that..." and I explained the situation, and we struck up a conversation, and she made a sale (they had the green sweatpants I was looking for! LOL)
What I haven't spoken of previously was WHY she was in such a crappy mood that day... I found out later, that she had lost her grand father a week earlier and her BF at the time decided NOT to go to the visitation/ funeral/ wake with her. He "said" he had previously made plans which he couldn't get out of, but to make matters worse, she found out earlier that day, that the reason WHY, was because he was screwing around on her with another girl! I suspect that, that would be enough to make any woman angry at the entire male gender. She and her BF broke up over this situation (ya think?!) and over the next 3-4 months she & I became pretty good friends...
Now, SHE was a REAL hottie, and I was just an average guy, so I had no idea she was interested in me romantically. She dropped a few hints here and there, but I was just not bright enough to pick up on them! So she eventually had to take matters into her own hands, and SHE asked me out! The rest as they say is history.
The moral of the story is... just because someone gives you attitude the first time you meet them, doesn't necessarily mean he or she is a cold heartless bitch or asshole...
It might be they are just having a bad day or maybe it is a reflection of how YOU are treating THEM. Have a positive attitude towards them, and you just may be surprised!
