Current: Fiorentina 3 Drebecen 2

Fiorentina and Drebecen are putting on a show stopper of a match, but I cant watch it since Sportsnet is broadcasting a dreadfull match between Liverpool and Olympique. Isn't that wonderfull.

This is for Liverpool fans:

I'm not watching either match, but on paper, Liverpool vs Lyon is a much better match than the Fiorentina one.

Wow!!

Upset city today for some of the big boys.

Rubin Kazan beats Barcelona 2-1

Inter Milan ties Dynamo Kiev and are in last place in the group? And they hired Jose Mourinho because??

Liverpool loses to Lyon. Can you say bye bye Benitez if they lose to Man U on Sunday.
I think they would be stupid if the got rid of benitez in the middle of the season as it would cause more turmoil at the club than there already is right now with this garbage that we are playing. Lets see what happens first when Aquilani gets in the squad and what he can bring to the table..

So what you're saying is keep him and go for the FA cup?

Rangers suck too!!

This is highly embarrassing for Real Madrid, they spent over 300 million on new players yet they might not win anything.
They bought too many attackers, not enough defenders

Real 2 Milan 3

The scoreline was flattering to Madrid, it should have read 4-1 Milan. Dida fubared Raul's goal and Zambrotte had a goal undeservedly disallowed. All by himself the healthy Al Nesta was superior to Madrid's back four. This allowed Pirlo to play some of the best football he's produced since the World Cup. In the last 30 minutes he completely outshined Kaka; scoring a goal and serving two fat juicy tatters for Pato to shoot into the onion bag.

Bravo Milanistas!

E Gravano ce contento?

Not sure what match you watched? Milan and Pirlo were non-existent in first half and didn't even have a shot on goal. The problem was Real let them off the hook with bad defense and worse goalkeeping. And back to Pirlo, I know you love him but he had nothing to do with the two goals scored by Pato. The first was set up by Ambrosini and the second by Seedorf.

With or without CRon, Casillas can't always bail out the bad defense. And this match is proof of that.

The Hammer
That Dida clanger was a real beaut! Pato's winner was a nice and tidy finish though. I hope Madrid don't win anything. Frightening attack, but their defensive woes will hurt them.

As for Rafa, they absolutely shouldn't fire him. All teams go through rough patches, seems like a purely knee jerk reaction. He's brought them a lot of success (EPL crown not withstanding), but Ferguson and Arsene have been through patches like this as well, firing him would be a wrong move. Just start Benayoun more and lose that muppet Babel.

Barcelona put on a clinic today. They may have dropped the ball last matchday but I would say they have probably righted the ship and are back in form to make a run this year again in the Champions League. Fuck Madrid.

Madrid's defense is suspect at best and that's being charitable. Are they really so desperate and delusional (at watching Barca win the treble last year while they sat and watched) that they spent all that $ on strikers and left the rest of the pitch to waste away? A team is not made up only of goal scorers.

Without Henry and Alves, Barca still went out and did what they did today. 6 -1 vs. Zaragoza and 3 points clear at the top of the table.

Nesta being Nesta

I wish to apologise for my speed reading and filling in the blanks concerning the Real vs AC match. I figured someone would take me task for it and Becksterella did.

Nesta saves Milan yet again! After flying high against Real, Milan got taken to the woodshed by Chievo Verona. Milan got scored upon early then had to struggle through 70 minutes of catenaccio before Nesta scored on a header - and got his nose busted in the process. But did that stop him, not in the least. He was affixed with gauze and Q-tips then went back out and scored the winning goal. There are now calls for Nesta to return to the Azzurri, I'm sure Lippi would welcome him. The prospect of Nesta-Chiellini would be a nightmare for the opposition.

Barca fans; if Puyol is Hercules, Nesta is Zeus.

Whoever said that Serie A football is dull and defensive is a fucking idiot.

There can be no middle ground for Mario Balotelli; he'll either self-distruct or become the greatest footballer on the planet. However there are still sphincterheads who question his right to be Italian. IMHO he is more Italian than Mauro Camoranesi, it's a dead issue. I would love to watch him enter Nau Camp and cast a stony silence.

And for those making monkey noises...don't let me catch you.

agreed Insidious....its a shame players still have to go thru this crap, especially a talent like Ballotelli..the shame would be if he left Italy for England, like some rumour mills have been predicting.

I actually think his career would progress better under Wenger at Arsenal than in Italy. Let's face it, Italy is getting left behind by Spain and England:D
