Canada only added that label this year, under strong political pressure.
Which would mean that he wasn't labelled a terrorist when your guy, Trump, had him killed.
He was just a soldier on a peace mission.
Warmonger.
Just to quote your antisemitism, you say they are only listed as terrorists because of political pressure and then you say that it was because of a Jewish group. You are clearly saying the Jewish group got the government to do something not supported by facts.

Soleimani was the leader of the IRGC's Qod's force, a terrorist group that has been active around the world for decades and they have been listed as a terrorist group in Canada since 2012 despite your anti-semitic conspiracy theories. I've posted directly from the Canadian government source and you still try to pretend it's not true because of your irrational support for any anti-Israel group.

B'nai Brith sued the government to get IRGC listed as terrorists, as previously noted.
From my understanding, B'nai Brith's support for a war on Iran is not a view supported by Jewish Canadians.
If you know otherwise, go ahead and show me wrong.
That's why I mentioned this one, Israeli based, lobbying of the government, because they don't speak for Canadian Jews and certainly not for Canadians as a whole, as far as I know it.
Your continual attempt to claim that its a trope to criticize one lobbyist group's actions is ridiculous.

No, basketcase, they were listed in 2020 in Canada as a terrorist group after Trump assassinated Soleimani and there was pressure from B'nai Brith and a few fringe Iranian groups.
Get your facts straight.

You've been pushing for a war with Iran here for years.

Which has nothing to do with the government decision in 2012 to declare Soleimani's group a designated terrorist entity.

And yes, you have repeatedly said the only reason they are considered terrorists is because of this Jewish group. That means you think they aren't terrorists and you think that they Jewish group manipulated the government into doing something against their will. You simply are the mirror image of jeri but hide your elitist racism behind an intellectual veneer.

It is also pathetic that you are accusing this bunch of Canadian Jews of representing Israel instead of their Canadian members, another of those racist tropes you love slinging when you think it harms Israel.

So you think the government site that says they have been listed since 2012 is lying to us?

Zeinab Soleimani on Her Father’s Assassination

by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.orgHome – Stephen Lendman)

On January 3, 2019, Pentagon assassins murdered redoubtable Iranian General Qassem Soleimani in Baghdad — ordered by Trump.

His assassination had nothing to do with a threat by Iran or him to US national security.

It had everything to do with his success in combating US-supported ISIS and likeminded terrorist groups.

Days after Trump’s crime against humanity, he defied reality with the following Big Lie, saying:

“Soleimani was actively planning new attacks, and he was looking very seriously at our embassies, and not just the embassy in Baghdad (sic),” adding:

“But we stopped him, and we stopped him quickly, and we stopped him cold.”

Separately, Trump claimed that he ordered Soleimani’s assassination “because (he was) looking to blow up our (Baghdad) embassy (sic).”

He provided no evidence of a Soleimani threat. None existed then or by anyone in Iran or elsewhere now.

All US claimed threat to its national security are invented, not real.

Trump’s false claim about acting in self-defense because of an “imminent” threat fooled no one.

Pompeo repeated his Big Lie. Claiming the Trump regime targeted General Soleimani for elimination because he and Iran threatened US regional interests turned truth on its head.

Last January, he was in Baghdad on a diplomatic peace mission.

He was and remains widely respected and revered in Iran, other regional countries and elsewhere.

He was a renown freedom fighter for regional peace and stability — his mission polar opposite endless US wars of aggression against nonthreatening states.

Elevated to martyr status by the Trump regime’s murder, he’s larger than life in death than when alive.

On Wednesday, Iran’s Ayatollah Ali Khamenei vowed further revenge for Soleimani’s assassination beyond Iran’s strike against the US Ain al-Assad airbase in Iraq five days after his brutal killing.

It “will certainly take place,” Iran’s Supreme Leader stressed — in a way, at a time of the country’s choosing.

IRGC commander General Hossein Salami said further retaliation is “serious.”

“We’re not engaging in a war of words. (W)e’ll leave everything to the field of action,” he added.

RT interviewed Soleimani’s daughter Zeinab, her remarks airing Wednesday. Below is some of what she said:

“There’s no difference between Biden and Trump.”

“They are the same guy. They are following the same policy. There’s no difference between them.”

“Trump ordered the killing of my father, but Biden supported that, so there’s no difference.”

“My father” disrupted Washington’s imperial agenda, so the Trump regime “killed him.”

“(F)or them, my father is a big monster, but my father is a savior.”

Trump “is the monster, not my father. My father did his job so well and made them so angry.”

“The problem we have with America is their policy. This will not change” with an incoming regime.

“They are the same people, with the same mind, the same way,” the same actions. “And each one is worse than the other one.”

“After killing my father, America thought that everything will be stopped because they killed (him), the power of the Middle East” and supporter or regional sovereignty, free from foreign occupation.

US officials “are so wrong. They are so wrong in thinking this will be the end of General Soleimani. This is the beginning.”

They also killed Iranian nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh in late November and others earlier, along with waging sanctions war on the Islamic Republic’s people.

Those responsible are “not human,” said Zeinab.

“They’ve killed (Fakhrizadeh) so easily in his own country in front of…his wife.”

“How dare they come to our country and kill people so easily in the street?”

The US is its own worst enemy, an unparalleled global menace.

Its hostile agenda makes more enemies than friends.

It’s waging war on humanity at home and abroad, exploiting most people to benefit its privileged class.

Zeinab was right calling Trump a monster. It’s true about most US leaders and others in high office throughout the country’s history.

It’s mostly true about US rage to control planet earth, its resources, and all its life forms — by brute force if other tactics fail.

That’s what the scourge of US imperialism is all about.

What can’t go on forever, won’t. History’s dustbin awaits its arrival, the fate of all empires in world history.

On that glorious day, people everywhere yearning to breathe free will exhale in relief for the first time since imperial USA emerged on the world stage.

Stephen Lendman who defends tyrannical dictatorships including China that has people in concentration camps have no credibility

You are wrong, basketcase.

The lawsuit, B’nai Brith Senior Legal Counsel David Matas explained, asks the Court to respond to the request B’nai Brith has made to list the IRGC as a terrorist entity.
As of now, it is fully legal for any Canadian to provide funds to brutal and dangerous terrorist groups if they are not listed. That is why listing the IRGC is necessary.

According to you, not only do you claim that B'nai Brith controls government policy, a claim I keep telling you is a trope and ridiculous, you also think they are total morons who sued the government to enact a policy that you claim was enacted in 2012.

Stop pushing jeri like tropes, basketcase.
B'nai Brith doesn't control the government.

In 2012 Canada listed a covert wing of the IRGC, the Qods, B'nai Brith was trying to get all of the army, the IRGC listed as terrorists.
You really should do your homework before you start ranting, as I stated, B'nai Brith sued the gov't to list the IRGC in entirety as terrorists.

Your attacks are purely political, you use the word 'terrorism' as a label meant to justify war crimes while you ignore state backed, systematic terrorism under Israeli rule.

If you are really against terrorism you'd back investigations by the ICC into all accused of terrorism, Palestinian, Iranian and Jewish.
But you would never do that.

To the pseudo leftist Khomeinist cheerleaders, some Jewish groups are just too powerful. You're right there's little difference between the Jerri's and the fake leftist antisemites, Jerri just doesn't bother hiding anything.
Soleimani was just another IRGC thug and war criminal, and he was involved in suppressing the countless anti regime protests in both Iraq and Iran itself, hundreds killed or executed, the fake leftists will just gloss over that.

You're accusing the government website to be wrong then. You really are desperate to justify terrorism.

And yes, Soleimani was the commander of the Qods force which is why I've been talking about that group the entire time.

Yet another thread where instead of addressing the fact that the guy was the leader of a terrorist organization you want to change to topic to Israel when you couldn't get traction with your anti-semitic tropes.

No, I'm accusing you of not knowing what you are talking about.
You were the one that kept claiming it was the IRGC that was listed and after 3 pages I finally bothered to correct you.

You're still here trying to use the word terrorist to justify war with Iran, something you've been arguing for here for years.
Yet there is nothing that Iran has done that Israel hasn't done more of, its just you back their form of state terrorism to back your own form of racial supremacy.

Netanyahu is far more likely to land at the ICC than any Iranian, at this point.

Retaliation for Iranian General Soleimani’s Assassination Coming?

by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.orgHome – Stephen Lendman)

Trump ordered the assassination of Iranian Quds Force commander General Qassem Soleimani on January 3 — the one-year anniversary of his martyrdom upcoming in days.

A disinformation statement by the US war department falsely claimed that his elimination was “to protect US personnel abroad” — a bald-faced Big Lie.

He was assassinated for being instrumental in defeating the scourge of US-supported ISIS in Iraq and elsewhere regionally — disrupting Washington’s imperial aims.

The killing had nothing to do with protecting Americans anywhere in the region or elsewhere.

Trump’s war department falsely claimed otherwise, a failed attempt to whitewash cold-blooded murder.

Throughout the post-WW II period, the US committed high crimes of war and against humanity, color revolutions and old-fashioned coups, as well as assassinations of anti-imperial freedom fighters like General Soleimani.

Its ruling regimes crushed dozens of popular movements, slaughtering millions of people post-9/11 alone.

All of the above was along with pouring countless trillions down a black hole of waste, fraud and abuse at the expense of vital homeland needs gone begging, eroding social justice, targeted for elimination altogether.

The US interferes in the internal affairs of virtually all other countries, demanding subservience to its interests.

Ones unwilling to sell their souls to Washington are targeted for regime change, their leaders and senior officials targeted for elimination.

Millions of corpses attest to America’s barbarity, a rogue state like no others in world history, operating globally, willing to risk destroying planet earth to own it, the human cost of its wars and other harshness of no consequence to its ruling authorities.

The late William Blum called democracy “America’s deadliest export,” the way it should be banned in the US and other Western countries.

US ruling authorities want sovereign independent nations replaced by pro-Western puppet regimes.

Washington wages war by hot and other means against all nations free from its control.

All of the above is what the scourge of imperialism is all about — humanity’s greatest threat.

When exposed to the light of day, US history reveals its dark side since the 19th century.

Last September, Iranian Foreign Minister Zarif slammed Trump for ordering General Soleimani’s assassination.

Calling what happened “a great mistake,” he stressed that “the book” on what happened “is not closed,” adding:

“I’m not in the business of making threats.” Retaliation for what happened is for Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to decide.

Earlier he called Iran’s strike on the Pentagon’s Ein Al-Assad Iraqi base days after Soleimani’s killing a “slap in the face” alone.

At the time, he stressed that revenge the way it’s warranted won’t be fulfilled until hostile US occupying forces are gone and no longer threaten regional peace, stability and security.

IRGC commander General Hossein Salami earlier called for “decisive and real” revenge against US individuals who “played direct and indirect roles” in Soleimani’s assassination.

Last month, Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani said “(h)arsher revenge is on the way” — with no further elaboration.

Stressing what happened is “no small matter, Ayatollah Khamenei said the following:

“The Islamic Republic of Iran will never forget this issue and will definitely deal a counterblow to the Americans.”

Last Sunday, Iranian Parliament Speaker’s Special Aide for International Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian said the following:

“Naturally, the issue of harsh revenge is seriously on the agenda of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and it will be carried out by appropriate means in a proper time, although people have already given perpetrators of the crime several slaps across the face.”

He added that Iran’s Judiciary has names of 48 US individuals involved in Soleimani’s assassination — directly or indirectly, wanting them tried for cold-blooded murder.

US imperial rage poses an unparalleled threat to world peace, stability and security for countless millions of people worldwide who yearn to breathe free from its aim for global dominance no matter how harmful to freedom-loving societies everywhere.

Try reading.

Just a reminder that the military unit he was a general of is considered a terrorist entity by Canada.

The assassination wasn't a productive action but it's pretty pathetic to mourn this guy as a good one.
But you keep arguing he wasn't a terrorist and claim Canada was manipulated by a Jewish group to pretend he was.

Sorry but the IRGC is on the terrorist list because they organize terrorism wherever Iran wants to exert influence. Are you going to blame Canada's designation (which has been in effect since 2012) on the Jewish lobby like you claimed for Hamas' appearance on the list?

p.s. Love how you always have to pretend people say things they didn't.
The IRGC was only added in 2020 due to intense lobbying after Trump assassinated Solemeini.
It was done to foster warmongering, not due to their acts.

And if you now accept that armies can be listed as terrorists, the IDF are most definitely terrorists.
Just considering the 2014 slaughter at the March of Return Israel and the IDF intentionally targeted and killed over 200 civilians and injured another 14,000, including intentionally crippling hundreds.

According to your logic, the IDF are way worse terrorists and should now also be banned by Canada.

Revenge is a normal thing in the middle east.
Which kinda makes her political views less relevant

Even evil and dangerous men have children who love them
Revenge would be a normal thought any person would have when their father is assassinated

Did you think she might have an objective and unbiased view on the assassination of her father?

How quickly do you dismiss an article about one of Trumps kids defending him ?

So you ignore what I said in the initial post and the fact that Soleimani was the head of the IRGC Qods force because in one post I abbreviated to just IRGC? It is widely published that Soleimani was the Qods force head and therefore a terrorist.

And look at the pathetic attempts to change the topic to Israel again just because you know the guy was a terrorist but pathologically can't admit it.

What acts did Solemeini commit that justify calling him and the IRGC terrorists?
Can you come up with any that are worse than Israel's intentionally killing over 200 civilian protesters by sniper fire over the course of one year of protests and injuring another 14,000?

If you can't, you need to admit that you are backing terrorists and terrorism and just trying to use the label to demonize people of different races to justify war.

So you decided to go with claiming he wasn't a terrorist. Not surprising.

Who was Maj. Gen. Qassim Suleimani?
General Suleimani was Iran’s most powerful security and intelligence commander. He was the longtime leader of its Revolutionary Guards’ Quds Force, the foreign-facing branch of the country’s powerful security apparatus.

Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' Qods Force
Also known as
Pasdaran-e Enghelab-e Islami (Pasdaran), Sepah-e Qods, Qods/Quds, al Quds, al Quds Force, Qods/Quds Force, Qods Corps, Jerusalem Corps, Jerusalem Force and Qods Force.

Description
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' Qods Force is the clandestine branch of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) responsible for extraterritorial operations, and for exporting the Iranian Revolution through activities such as facilitating terrorist operations. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' Qods Force provides arms, funding and paramilitary training to extremist groups, including the Taliban, Lebanese Hizballah, Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command (PFLP-GC).

I didn't think you could list any actions that would directly be defined as terrorism, or intentionally targeting civilians.

The best you could come up with was 'facilitating' which is nothing compared with directly targeting civilian protesters as Israel did during the March of Return.
Now that you admit that state armies can be defined as terrorists, why should Israel and the IDF not also be listed as terrorists?

UN says Israel's killings at Gaza protests may amount to war crimes
Inquiry accuses army of killing demonstrators ‘who were not posing an imminent threat’

With this new definition of terrorism that now includes what used to be called 'state terrorism', Israel are clearly terrorists and you are backing terrorism.

I say take Iran, Hamas and Israel all to the ICC and let them sort it out and charge whoever they can in order to stop terrorism.
And you could start by stopping supporting terrorism.
