What and/or whom got you involved in TERB?

I joined so I can get access to agencies that use your handle as a verification tool. But now some are saying you need to wait 8 months to get 'verification'. (For example HPL). And obviously I don't want to give my driver's license, so I guess I need to wait 7 more months?
