What wha whe wha?
I voted Three's Company for best on the list. I love Seinfeld too but feeling nostalgic today. Jack Tripper, Chrissy Snow, Janet... Just classic zaniness to me. It wasn't a perfect, smart show. It made me laugh though.

Sanford and Son was a blatant rip-off of Steptoe and Son, whereas Threes Company was copied from Man about the House. Extremely creative, these Yanks.

Beachcombers sucked really bad....never really understood why it lasted for 10+ years...

but, King of Kensington was a pretty funny show that could actually compete with the American sitcoms of the time... pretty much the only Canadian sitcom ever that I can think of that you could say that about...

Canadian content.

Some others sitcoms, not mentioned, that I enjoyed were Chico and the Man; Murphy Brown; Welcome Back Kotter; Mork and Mindy and 3rd Rock from the Sun.

Hard to pick one.

Night Court was mine for all out wackiness. Loved John Laracotte as the leacherous sleezy prosecuting attorney, and Marki Post as the public defender. I could watch her all night.

Other honourable mentions, also mentioned above, include MASH, WKRP and Soap.

Three's Company for me. Not just for the sexual innuendo. Also good for jiggle, and spotting other stars and models in their first TV appearances.

There's three shows I watched, in chronological order growing up, that I've almost memorised every episode:

M*A*S*H
WKRP in Cincinnati
Seinfeld.

Nothing since then, just hooked on "reality" TV.

anybody else growing up in the 70s remember that high school sitcom "Room 222"...while not in my top ten, I thought that show was pretty cool...I guess it was more of a dramedy dealing with teen issues..and Karen Valentine was a hottie!
