Now that my NBA Boycott is closing on Saturday. It's time for another poll.

Who would you pick from the following list of young NHL forwards (24 or younger)?

I couldn't list more due to space limitation. I tried to not list more than one player from the same team. I left out McConnor and Matthews because they might be too automatic a choice.

BTW: I never said that Marner "suck", just that he is not as good as some people think.

P.S. Damn! The first thread attempt got posted before I finished.

I agree with Matthews but I don't think that McConnor would be as automatic.

I don't see any black players in Dart's list.

We should do a top 10 listing of who has the best signatures in all of Terb.

What I notice in the NBA Boycott Poll (63) is that there are a lot more viewers than just the 4 or 5 who are constantly posting. Hopefully, we get a good voter turnout but one never knows.

Holy shit. My fault. It's Connor McDavid.

No point trying to correct as editing a poll gets tricky. (I hate spelling names.)

BTW: Doing a poll is somewhat tricky (at least for me anyway).

Fantastic! My guy, Nathan MacKinnon, just got picked. Excellent choice. (I don't vote in my own poll so it wasn't me who voted.)

C'mon guys, cast your vote. I know you're out there.

Hey Darts, I suspect you’re not getting many responses from Leafs fans is because the majority feel that you’re a Habs fan and you’re just trolling them, same reason why some members seem to be ganging up on you. I have no problem having gentlemanly discussions with you but sometimes you do give that impression, as shown in your relentlessness in trying to put down Marner who happens to be one of my favourite Leafs.

I hear you but I try to make a realistic objective judgment of the talent of the Leafs as a team and its players.

Another member tried to compare Marner to Kane and I think that is unfair to Marner. I guess it is true that "love is blind".

I think Marner is a good player but.....................................

You may be right that when their careers are over, Kane will go down as the better player but it’s too premature to make that call. It’s a rather fruitless discussion to compare them now as they at different stages of their hockey life. I like Marner because in addition to being one of the best play makers, he has shown that ability to raise his line mates, both Kadri and Tavares had career year with Marner on the wing. He kills penalty, he hassles back on defence, he blocks shots, and even attempts to play goal in empty net situation, these are the qualities that make him special.

I know my pick here would be MacKinnon, the likely recipient of this season's Hart trophy. But I'm also a huge fan of Elias Pettersson, who is the youngest player on this list.

I started this poll, which seems to have ruffled the feathers of the usual suspects, because a usual suspect tried to compare Marner to Kane. I thought a more appropriate comparison is Marner compare to other players of his same age group.

Your guy, Nathan MacKinnon just won the Lady Byng Trophy.

No wonder the Avalanche haven't been able to win a Cup, with that cupcake on the roster.

"So here's a question. Who was the last player to win the Hart who was a minus player? "

The last and maybe only player to win the Hart with a minus +/- is Leon Draisaitl with a minus 7.

Maybe?
Pssst, +/- is an archaic, almost useless statistic.
The best player in the world was a -6 this past season.

Took a quick look at the top 20 forward point getters this past season and 16 are under age 30.

Dart gets busted again.
Again Dart stubs his toe.
Dart mocks Matthews and his Lady Byng and his man Nathan wins it.
Another Dart swing and a miss.
Dart has zero credibility.

Speaking of credibility, what did "Superstar's" favourite player(s) and team win?

Even 88 must know by now he has no credibility with the intelligent, knowledgeable and civil members of the Board.
