Interesting, you equate respect for soldiers with the size of the military budget.
I think most Canadians - like me - are happy that we do not spend more money on the military. Otherwise we would, yes?

We have some ancient British pieces of shit that had been sitting on the muddy bottom in Scotland that the British were going to scrap, but then Britain found a bunch of wimp Canadian government officials who took them off their hands for 750 million bucks. Since that time, they've spent most of their time in ship yards being endlessly repaired. It's embarassing already.
Last I recall reading, all four of them were not fit for service and were laid up for all of 2020, and all of 2021. And none of them can launch a torpedo.
