That's surprising, the Gallo's were wiped out in Toronto, didn't know there were any left.

The St Lawrence/Great Lakes corridor has become the Golden Goose to The Outfit. Currently La Cosa Nostra and the N'dragenta have been fighting it out for control of Toronto. I don't know what's going on in Montreal. They're playing a futile game, eventually the powerful Camorra will take over.

Not going after family is an Italian Mafia thing, others don't have to play by the same rules.

Also Mafia are not supposed to narc on each other and turn, but that died out ages ago along with the whole code of silence so really if it was a mafia hit, would it be so shocking.

The woman ( Claudia Iacono ) killed may not have been in the mafia but she was married to a mobster, Anthony Gallo. His father was killed in Mexico in 2013. There was even a killing in front of dozens of witnesses at a first communion celebrations at the Sheraton Hotel in Laval north of Montreal.
