I hope they have the wind and seismic modelling all figured out.

Becuase those are big risks in a cable suspension bridge.

Particularly if said events happen before the bridge is fully constructed.

100%, it took 2+ years and$135 million just to build a basic 2 lane overpass over a 4 lane highway on flat level ground close to my place.

If you look carefully, you notice they have a lot more gear and supplies parked on the deck than really needs to be.
There to provide dead load so the thing while being build does not move around a lot in a wind.
