In my humble opinion, what we are is more akin to Aldous Huxley & Brave New World, or Neil Postman & Distracted to Death. People taking offense to what ought to be little things, etc. Apparently our attention spans have gotten way shorter. Everything must be reduced to a sound bite. Now the Blue Jays guy who uttered words that were apparently homophobic. If you ask me this is altogether too much.

No, because white people have never been at the bottom. .
Both of my white grandfathers would likely disagree with you if they were still alive. They were both called every name in the book and struggled to find employment. Then again if you asked them they wouldn't whine about it. They had far too many thinks on their mind like busting their ass each and every day. and my one grandpa lost a leg working in the mines at 12 years old. If that is not the bottom I don't know what is.

People can use whatever words they want.
When they choose to use particular words, they show their ignorance.

Faggot - ok

Retard - ok

Cocksucker - let us keep that as women suck cock too, not a bad thing.

Cunt - is it on the list, it used to be x'ed out on here I remember, always good to use in aN insult for someone you're not fond of. Heard it referred to as the most offensive word in the English language.

What else?
In North America "cunt" is still considered quite offensive, and is only used in cable TV and movies for pure shock effect. This has lessened its extreme degree of "forbid-ness" (I think I just made up a new word haha), but it is still almost never heard in daily conversation, especially in the presence of women.

However in England "cunt" is used in a derogatory manner to both men and women. It seems to be nowhere near as offensive as in North America, judging from how often I hear it used in British TV and movie productions. This in the presence of ladies as well, with the lack of horrific response from the women that generally accompanies the use of the word here.

Of course North American women generally have no problem using the word "prick" or "dick" in a derogatory manner towards a male they may dislike.

Aussies seem to use "cunt" like that too. check out Jim Jefferies.

anywhere i want;)
I personally think that it does not matter what people call you ; what matters is do you actually care.

If your white calling a black person the " n " word - you are wrong , same goes if your black , Hispanic , Asian using honky or cracker.
Gringo is used to describe a person who is not latino/ Hispanic but acts like it. - still WRONG.

Either way you spin it we were always taught that NAME CALLING is WRONG. no matter how old or young you are!
If you want respect you have to give respect.

Just because white people have not been publically defined as being at the bottom their are white people who are at the bottom. There is no such thing as "white privilege" in my eyes we are all equal. That's what makes HUMAN EQUALITY. We all work, have families, pay bills , go to school and lets face it were all going to die one day. Do you really think any of this is going to matter when were dead?
Its just a color. There is no other differences in people then skin color and of course age.

Are you a negro? Just wondering as I don't see any slurs for black people.

One term you rarely hear anymore is "jungle bun$@" when referring to black people. Personally I feel this is the worst thing you can refer a black person as. Am I wrong?

I have to commend the Blue Jays and especially Kevin Pillar for showing remorse for what he said. I know if my children used that language I would be shocked (I have never heard them using any type of racial or sexual orientation inappropriate language).

When you are in the public eye, it is so important to be careful what you say. Comedians however, appear to be exempt from this although maybe times have changed with them as well

Are there any offensive names to call white people? Aside from honky and cracker (does anyone even use those dated terms), what else? I guess you could say wop for Italians, or frog for French, but there's really nothing.

Like if somebody called me a honky ass mother fucking fag lipped cunt I'd probably laugh. I can't think of a name anyone could call me that would upset me.
Not really, because white people have thicker skin and typically don't give a shit. You can call the poorest redneck the laziest, grubbiest, pasiest whitie who is an ignorant Dukes of Hazzard flag waving KKK nut and chances are he won't get mad like a minority does getting called a name. SNL Mad TV or any comedy show could make comedy sketches about it and nobody would care.

And that's why most whites don't give a shit.

The reason why many words are now a no-no in language is because minorities are babies. They don't like the insulting words because A. they can't handle it and B. there is some truth to it so it hurts.

Unless you call a white person who is homosexual a "faggot" then their supposed "thick skin" disappears and they start all the ranting about using a slur regarding their sexual orientation.

True, but depends who they are. I have gay friends and a family member is gay. He doesn't give a shit if someone makes fun of acting gay. He laughs too, and sometimes even acts "extra gay" on purpose to make fun back.

It all comes down to whether someone feels insecure about who they are.

If someone goes up to a heterosexual and makes fun that he is straight, nobody cares.

Everyone knows some minorities who joke around and don't care if you make of black jokes or indian people can smell if they've recently eaten spicy food. But then some people get mad if you do. People who get mad know there is some truth to it, so that's why they are mad.

If someone wants to make fun I'm a blonde haired dopey Swede who eats meatballs all day, go ahead. I'm not Swedish or eat meatballs. So I don't care. Now if someone tried to make fun I'm a wop who eats pasta all day, go ahead. I probably do eat too much pasta, but who cares. I'd laugh back at eating cheap ass carbs.

It's all how someone handles life. As for being homosexual, some people are open about it and don't care how people think, while some people want to keep it a secret as long as possible. On the other hand, I don't think there is one heterosexual who will be secret about it. If someone asks, he ir she will just say yeah.

Acting gay or acting "extra gay" as a response with family or a group of friends is different than someone calling them a faggot. Do your friends or family members call the gay individuals faggots? Just wondering. If so what were the reactions of the gay individuals.

Russell Peters makes fun of different ethnic groups in his stand up comedy routines but I have never heard him say any ethnic or racial slurs when talking about these same people. I can't say I have seen him non televised but it is apparent from the shows I have seen on the Internet, he knows the difference between using racial/ethnic slurs against different races as opposed to detailing their racial/ethnic tendencies/behaviors.
