On March 16, two women viciously attacked another woman at a Washington, D.C. restaurant after the victim told them she was a supporter of president Trump. The victim, a 29-year-old woman named Maricela, said she suffered as fractured finger, a bruised right eye in which the blood vessels burst, a bruised knee and minor bruises all over her body.”

Police have termed the attack a felony assault, and only released the video taken by surveillance cameras on Monday because they have had trouble finding the women.

The incident occurred at 1 a.m. at the Surfside restaurant. The police report stated Maricela said she overheard a conversation between the two female suspects and their male friend. When she interceded in their conversation and mentioned she was a Trump supporter, she said, they launched their attack. Maricela recounted to Fox 5, “I’m a Trump supporter. I stood by my views, then they called me a racist and then they started attacking me.”

Maricela said the male friend attempted to stop the woman from their attack. Maricela later went to Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland for her injuries, according to the police report.

Its might sound callous but sometimes, especially in public, its best to mind your own business and not inject your personal opinion to others. Some topics, like abortion, flat earth, conspiracies, race, and the 2016 US election can all spark a nerve with people. I'm surprised you'd call two ordinary women thugs when all we know they were doing was having a personal conversation in a restaurant. I'd say the one 'thug' — your word not mine — possibly deserving of the term would be the woman who barged into their private discussion and forced herself, and her unwelcome and offensive opinions, on them in a public place where everyone is entitled to expect common politeness, mutual respect, discretion and self-control.
