At this time it is not certain if Trump's tariffs are set in stone.

It is possible some tariffs will be renegotiated. So far it looks to me
some minor trading partners of the U.S., Taiwan, Vietnam and Israel,
may stand a chance of getting a better deal from Trump upon renegotiations.
you can't negotiate with an insane moron who never honours his agreements. He loves the chaos and having the axe dangling above everyone's head. The uncertainty alone is causing economic repercussions which won't pass until the orange turd is gone and IF they get a steady sane hand in the White House

you are 100% correct. But i'm afraid the US will never fix anything and sink deeper and deeper as long as they have a 2 party only system,

If what is reported in the news is true myriads of countries hit by
Trump's tariffs are already lying up to negotiate. Perhaps in the
end you will proved to be right and no negotiations will yield anything
fruitful. I am inclined to believe Trump is bullying to extract concessions.
He will moderate some of the tariffs. But I could be wrong.

If Biden did this, you'd lose your shit.
I don't know what that means. Biden would not be Biden if he threatened
the world with tariffs like Trump did.

I do not expect the stock market to recover from the crash because
Trump's tariffs are good for world's economy. In fact I believe the tariffs
will turn out to be inflationary. Inflation is not necessarily a bad thing for
stock investments.

What it means if Biden had a policy that was plunging the stock market, you wouldn't be as welcoming.

Did Trump not criticize Biden for inflation? Now it's not a bad thing. :ROFLMAO:

Even if I accept that answer, it doesn't make market fundamental sense since the markets and the economy have been reacting horribly to the news.

You even said yourself "Not sure when and where the bottom is to be hit."

You cannot make an intelligent investment choice with an individual in power who can change their mind overnight. There is nothing at the moment that is stable because of the unstable conman/felon running the US.

I don't have to know precisely where and when the bottom is
to decide on the entry point to stocks. On Friday last week I loaded
up myriads of stocks. It turned out Monday would have been
better. No big deal. South Bow for one dropped only 40
to 50 cents from my purchase price which is not unexpected for
a stock price above $30 in a volatile market. Another stock I
brought took another hit like 10% on Monday. But then you don't buy
a penny stock on anticipation of a dinky 100-200% gain. I can live
with a 20--30% loss on paper.

I bought a stocks when I decide its price is cheap. Trump had nothing
to do with it.
