Why do providers refuse to accept blocked/private calls?

From a provider prospective, there's a few reasons I like a contact number, for my safety, it's quicker to talk on the phone( at a time that works for you privately!) and for me I think you can tell a lot about a person by the sound of there voice and how they communicate with you.

Now there our times when I've let phone numbers go, if I get emailed from a work address. Or I reputable provider can vouch for you.

BUT!

If your going to spend a hour or whatever with us intimately, why wouldn't we be allowed to talk to you briefly before hand?

Also providers aren't going to call your like a mistress would? So you wouldn't have to worry about getting busted( 9/10)!!
Perfectly willing to speak beforehand. I agree it gives you a good deal of insight into the person. But that should be acceptable via blocked #. If you needed to cancel (as another poster mentioned), I think that's where e-mail would come into it.

Thanks.

In this internet age if you cannot figure out how to aquire a second number, either with an app on your phone, or a second phone, then nobody is turning cartwheels when you show up. Ahem.
Reasonable, unless you have an SO who's both technologically adept and really nosy....

Turn a cart wheel? on man..... anyway, the fact is that they ask for this , like it or not it's their choice.
do I agree with it? probably more no than yes. As others have said, buy a hobby phone that can't be traced to you and you're all set.
Works for me. Like I said, I'm new to this.
Thanks.

But give you my real phone #??? Not a chance.
I don't want your real number, I want to be able to reach you if need to. I understand that you are cautious but worst case scenario for SP is always A LOT worse than worst case scenario for a client. If something makes an SP feel safer I think she is justified to ask for it.

Some ladies prefer, too call you as not to give you there phone number, could be intrusive for both parties, you like us have life's outside of the hobby. And most reputable providers won't just call out of the blue,

So no need to worry so much, silly.

I'm new to this world, and I can not understand what providers hope to achieve by insisting on a displayed phone # when you call them.
Anyone want to help me out?
Safety is priority... no amount of money can replace that. Its a way to weed out most trolls, prank callers and a way for authorities to track the caller down incase some shit takes place.

Not if she's already at her incall location. There's not enough time to notify you via email.

"Why-do-providers-refuse-to-accept-blocked-private-calls".

What seems to be the big problem. I'm not a provider and I never answer a blocked number. Most of my friends are the same. So why pick on the SPs? If you don't like it move on.

Exactly ... I never answer blocked , private or unknown calls at home . Why should I answer a call when someone is hiding their number ( go figure ) . If that call is important then they will leave a message and I always get back to them .

exactly... these days I get so many numbers calling me, I never pick up blocked numbers and or even displayed numbers if I don't know the person. I have an answering machine... If its someone I know calling from an unidentified number, they'll usually leave me a message and I return calls right away.

There are several reasons. 80% of blocked calls are no shows and the other 10% are whacking off. So for the sake of 10% of you who are real is it really worth my while to take a chance? I don't think so.
