For sure. Perhaps the #1 reason.Cuts down on the number of prank calls. SP's get a lot of calls from guys that have no intention of booking but get off on asking the SP a lot of sexual questions.
Anything blocked is suspicious. My take is if something bad happens, they'll get your sorry ass.I'm new to this world, and I can not understand what providers hope to achieve by insisting on a displayed phone # when you call them.
Anyone want to help me out?
Maybe so, and that would have been reasonable 15-20 years ago and back, but the problem is it's almost 2013. In this internet age, when all you need is a phone # to find out almost anything about almost anybody, expecting a client to cough up a personal phone # is insane. I sure as hell won't. Providers need to wake up and smell the 21st century. There's already more than a few who are OK dealing exclusively by e-mail - hopefully that group keeps on growing. There have been incidents with johns calling on a blocked number which can't be traced or reported to authorities. Basically, it's for their safety that you don't call from a private or blocked number, not to out you.
And what if she needs to call you to cancel? If she can't get a hold of you then you waste time going there and then you're fucked........and not in a good way. It's a 2 way street and being mutually discreet. If you can call her, she should be able to call you too.Maybe so, and that would have been reasonable 15-20 years ago and back, but the problem is it's almost 2013. For any providers reading this: I think you're missing out on a whole class of upscale client by insisting on no e-mails/text/blocked, etc. Not to toot my own horn :eyebrows: but you'd turn a cartwheel if you saw me at your door. But give you my real phone #??? Not a chance.
:thumb:That's why you get a hobbing phone ( throw away ) . It shows the number when you call her . Use cash to buy the phone , use a public phone to put the mins. on the phone . That number can't be traced to you unless ofcourse you use it as a second personal phone which you wouldn't do anyways .
Only use it for the hobby . They're cheap to buy and use .
What? Not to toot my own horn :eyebrows: but you'd turn a cartwheel if you saw me at your door.
Turn a cart wheel? on man..... anyway, the fact is that they ask for this , like it or not it's their choice.Maybe so, and that would have been reasonable 15-20 years ago and back, but the problem is it's almost 2013. Welcome to planet Earth (AKA Planet Dirt). On this planet we have something called telemarketers and robo callers. They're quite annoying. I tend to also not answer blocked numbers for this reason alone. Hope this helps.I'm new to this world, and I can not understand what providers hope to achieve by insisting on a displayed phone # when you call them.

I just googled my own phone number and I've been giving it to SP's for years...Maybe so, and that would have been reasonable 15-20 years ago and back, but the problem is it's almost 2013. In this internet age if you cannot figure out how to aquire a second number, either with an app on your phone, or a second phone, then nobody is turning cartwheels when you show up. Ahem.In this internet age .... Not to toot my own horn :eyebrows: but you'd turn a cartwheel if you saw me at your door.
Why's that, are you a gymnastics mat salesman? For any providers reading this: I think you're missing out on a whole class of Not to toot my own horn :eyebrows: but you'd turn a cartwheel if you saw me at your door. But give you my real phone #??? Not a chance.
