USA Today urged voters not to vote for Trump. Reuters / IPSOS gives Clinton a 5 point lead. The margin has widened.

After the first 30 minutes or so, it will go down as one of worst performances, by any candidate in modern history. They will probably teach his performance in school, as a prefect example, of what not to do.

Now to Trump's base, he could come out there fart and read from 'Mien Kampf,' and they would say he won.
To be fair, the majority of Clinton voters would always say Clinton won too. It's only the intelligent who can look beyond their own leanings and declare the other the victor.

I think Clinton "won", though I don't really think of it in terms of winning. She had a better performance after the first 20 minutes. That said, both were disgusting. But that's what politicians are these days.

"States" is plural. Florida is singular.
Sure. Trump's declining in multiple States following the debate. In your way of seeing it, he has several new gaps to close. BTW, he basically can't win if he loses Florida.

He can still come back. Obama lost the first debate and still won the election. It's just funny that Trump and his supporters feel they have to lie about the drubbing he got.

The fact that the race remains close is surreal. America's intelligentsia (phonies), the entire political world, newspaper editorials, Fortune 100 CEOs, Wall Street bankers, every member of the Bush family, all living Republican presidents, Obama and his wife, Bernie, virtually all major media outlets are on an all-out mission to tell voters 'Don't vote for Trump.' yet the impact has been minimal. We're talking half points, and points within margins of error.

Actually what's surreal is that the GOP is losing.

Voters are tired of the Democrats and the economy is sluggish. This is a year when a generic Republican would defeat a generic Democrat. Except the Democrat's are running an unpopular and disliked Democrat. By all rights we should be looking at a Republican landslide.

Instead Trump is losing. The only explanation is he's got no idea what he is doing, he's a disaster.

That doesn't mean he can't win, but he certainly is found everything possible to avoid winning.
