funny you mentioned the Board... i'd say they would be on the list of MHBTFs as part of the mlse.
The Maple Leafs have had more than their share of bad luck over the years.
Presently there isn't anyone more loathed than Richard Peddie. I also hold Larry Tanenbaum in contempt for hiring him in the first place. And this is where the Leafs hard luck comes in - had Joey Tanenbaum been the sports entrepeneur they may have won a Stanley Cup by now.
Richard Peddie has the final decision on whom the next GM will be, and we already know that he wants to preserve his clout above all other considerations, I have a strong hunch on who the "self - proclaimed genius" will hire:

They make to much $$ without putting a good team out. Bad move after bad move. This is a team that needs to rebuild from top to bottom and then you die hard leafs fan might actually see them in a cup final next 10 yrs.
