I actually don't drink beer, I only drink vodka.

But you had to go ahead and ruin my incredibly witty joke ☹
If you are drinking Vodka because you believe it has fewer calories

Shot of Vodka 97 calories

Coors Light 102 calories

Add the chaser to the vodka, unless it's club soda, you go over the 102 calories.

There is your lesson for the day. You're welcome!

PS...what brand of Vodka?? I bet it's an old dude brand.

You are probably still drinking Burt Reynolds cocktails.

Its not the calories its the carbs, bro.

Vodka has zero carbs, and if you mix it with lime juice it has almost no carbs.

Carbs is sugar, and too much sugar is not good for you

If you stay within your caloric maintenance, you will not gain weight; if you are under, you will lose weight, and over, you will gain. Whether a beer is 100 calories and a shot of Vodka is 100 calories, it changes NOTHING!!! LMAO

Drink the one you like and really, no alcohol is good for you. IT is not the sugar doing the damage, it is the alcohol.

I apologize for the reality check, but I am here to help you, bro.

Its not the weight gain, bro. Too much sugar raises my insulin to unhealthy levels

So you're a diabetic, is what you're saying
No, but diabetes runs in my family.
By limiting my sugar intake I hope to avoid it later in life.
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Everyone should limit their sugar, grains, and salt intake.
Refined sugar, refined grains (white bread), and refined salt are your 3 worst enemies.

Any more silly questions??

If you’re genetically predisposed to diabetes, you absolutely need to watch your sugar intake. But when it comes to alcohol, keep in mind that alcohol itself is a bigger factor than whether it’s a vodka shot or a Coors Light. Both will impact blood sugar, just in slightly different ways. Beer tends to have more carbs and can cause a quicker glucose spike, while straight liquor like vodka has little to no carbs but still affects your liver and insulin sensitivity. At the end of the day, it’s basically a saw-off; you’re still putting stress on your body either way and that was my point.

Moderation and calorie intake are what matter most because if you are overweight, it can trigger many other issues besides diabetes, but hey, you do you.

He's talked about his situation before...You're just so busy trying to line people up on here that you're not paying attention.
I don't read every thread or follow any particular shmuck. Indeed, anyone facing diabetes should be careful of their diet and listen to their doctor, not some influencer on YouTube or Twitter. The last crack wasn't aimed at Phil; it's just a general statement, so don't you both go off the deep end.

Every time I go to my dad for dinner I borrow his lancet pen to see what my blood glucose is, and each time its around 4.5 to 5.
