No I would prefer physicians from many other countries over Canada. There are a lot of incompetent docs who are just in it for the money in North America, plus they develop massive egos as a result of being paid 500K/year. Some are very good, but being a member of the College is not by any means a guarantee of quality. What it is, is a protection racket. No Canadian doc will testify against another doc in a lawsuit. You need to bring in US experts.. in that respect they are the same as the cops.

how can you say a person that does hard physical labour is less repectable than a person that works in an office ? i am not knocking office guys at all i know they work hard and put in very long days. but saying a person that is out in the sun and busting his ass daily is stupid and is really ignorant.
I think you're equating manual labour with hard work. Don't get me wrong, it is hard work. But so is running a business. It may not be as physically demanding but it takes a lot of hard work and determination to succeed. I think it's fair to say there are different types of hard work, whether it be setting up scaffolding or working in an office.
A five year old kid will tell you that whoever is busting his ass daily is a loser and whoever is enjoying the froots of other people's labour is a winner.
When this kid gets older he is either being brainwashed into believing otherwise or becomes so hypocritical that refuses to admit the reality even on the anonymous message board.
