they are usually the best in my opinion...

no fru-fru bullcrap. Maybe its just me but i love those working class diners because its simple with good service... im used to work in a high end restaurant cooking egg-benni with grapefruit halves and all that stuff everyday for years. I guess i got sick of it... lol

P.S. Sunset Grill on the Danforth sucks. Go to the Bus Terminal, just east!

Yeah, I've been to The Grill for a morning breakfast after being out late on the town. There used to be a place across the street too but it was closed last time I looked.

It's still open.. It used to be called "Sizzlin' Jaks" but is now called something else. Either way, it's the same damn restaurant... Though I think they recently changed cooks as the potatoes are not as good as they used to be.

Sizzilin Jaks, had the best Mexican Omellette. I used to go there a lot. The Owner was a pretty hot looking lady in the 90's. Used to fantasize about her.Saw her again a few yrs ago and she looked like any middle aged European woman.

I like Smitty's. Their meat lovers breakfast skillet is heaven. There's so much food I have a hard time finishing it and I can eat.lol

I love going out for breakfast!

I like Eggsmart at Bay (just north) of Dundas quite a lot and I've heard really good things about Le Petit Dejeuner in St. Lawrence Market but I haven't tried it yet.

But my all time favourite breakfast joint is MARKHAM STATION in scarborough

+1 imo the best bang for the buck in the city. $4.99 special 3 eggs, toast, bacon or sasuage, big side of home fries. It's a heartly meal. Special is from 6am-10am
Hint: Go in at the right of the restaurant where you can eat in but dont have to leave a tip because the waiter/waitress doesnt serve you.:wink:
