Where should I go for a pooning holiday?

Yes, they are cracking down in Sosua, but hobbying continues. Just not as many girls as before. Not to worry about the cops. They arrest the ladies when they are on the street alone, but don't bother the men. No problem taking ladies back to your hotel either, provided you are in a guest friendly hotel. Santo Domingo is still good to go, if that is where you want to go. I've never been myself.

Lots of talent in Puerto Plata but you need a guide or at least a good command of Spanish. Security there is more of an issue especially after dark. Incidentally best places to find stunning beauties is at clubs in shadier parts of town.

In Pattaya you can get a nice apartment for about $150 a month or an apartment hotel for $15-20 per night. It is easy to keep your budget at $100 per day and have tons of fun with sweet affectionate young things, some of the most delicious food on the planet and lots to do, you'll never be bored and if the p4p scene gets overwhelming (being groped by literally 1000's of women can actually get tiring!) there's plenty of nearby getaways.
I forgot to mention Medellin, that is one of the other destinations that I am considering.

In Sosua expect to pay around 1500 pesos ($40) for a non-pro for whole night (and if you treat her well she might make you breakfast in the morning and generally treat you like her bf). A hard-core pro will cost you up to 3000 pesos ($80) for an all nighter (1500 for a short time). The prices largely depend on your negotiating skills and also on the season. Eg. Xmas time when there is lots of tourists, the prices go up a bit because the girls don't have to compete as much to get a customer.

You are correct, semi-pro is a better description. Best place to find one is at night in one of the discos. Lots of girls from all over the country come to Sosua for a few days to make some money before returning to their families. You usually won't see them in Sosua during the day cause they can't afford the rent there. They will most likely be renting a room in Charamico or Maranata (small towns close to Sosua).

Women in DR tend to be light skinned and on the thiner side. The ones that do well with tourists will usually put on some weight (and some bling-bling).

I was talking to a fellow hobbyist at PERB.CC - he was asking me would I be interested in pooning vacation with him. So, my question is what are some of the top 10 countries to poon in the Western countries, Asia and other places to poon?

Also, any advice for a novice who doesn't have any friends that do this kind of hobby?

I beg to differ. I'm not sure where you may have hung your hat but in the quality of girls available, night spots and temperature - Thailand is HOT!

The danger that lurks in Thailand is that for guys who have never dated hot chicks before - they can loose sight of reality. For the cost of a typical business transaction 1 hour encounter with an SP here, you have an all day - all night encounter with a super hot girl giving you what can only be described as a super GFE experience. They will take care of you, never stop telling you that they really like you (a super sell 'love you long time) and never stop treating you like you are the only guy for them. Kept in perspective, this can be handy because they will bargain with the locals to get you the fair price instead of the tourist price and they are great company for trips, etc.

Sadly, for those who never had the experience of a hot chick beside them, they want to bring the girl home and send her money to 'go to school', pay for her parents operation, etc. Stay away from the trap - you'll have a ball.

If I may add one more suggestion - for Asian destinations - use an on line service such as www.asiatravel.com for hotel bookings as you can get good hotels in the heart of the tourist area for ~$30/ day that are not mentioned by the large NA agents because they can't make money.

Wow...seen some impressive necro-bumps of 5-8 year old threads over the last few months...this thread is 10 years old until today.

Good luck with your trip if you make it happen this coming winter...perhaps I'm taking the easy way out but I'm putting off any travel plans outside of Ontario until summer 2021 or further out...thankfully we have some amazing ladies working in the GTA to enjoy right here in our own back yard so to speak.
