Austrailia is another option if you want hot weather and legal action. Getting into the dead of summer down there, EVERYONE speaks english, and you can wrestle a croc if you want! Might cost a little more, but it would be a different experience than some third/second world poon trip.

I've never understood the notion of vacationing solely to Poon. As you point out, the math just doesn't add up.
I can see wanting to lay on a beach somewhere amazing and tropical and then throwing in a little action if the mood strikes, but to go just to buy hookers does not make sense - especially if you live in Toronto.
If you consider the quality of the sex it is worth it. Frankly I have had better sex and better intimacy with some pros overseas then I have had with girlfrinds here. South American women are just sensual in a way that is completely alien to Canadian women. Of course this is based on my limited experiences. It is also fun to over indulge.. having 20 gorgeous women in one week... such a rush...
Plus it depends on the type of sexual experience one is interested in.
If you just want a quick bang, then seeing an SP here would be akin to a short time in Amsterdam or any other place.

Aside from the fact that I usually vacation with my wife, I can't imagine ever booking a purely sex vacation. A few hours to go to that museum she's not interested in, meet up later... somehow I never make it to the museum.
If you do the math correctly, it certainly makes it more feasibly if you like a hot beach, nightclubs and a gorgeous girl as a constant companion. If you plan ahead (as stated on another thread) - airfare is ~ $1200, $30 day hotel & $100/day escort. Assuming that you are going on a VACATION, airfare & hotel are common factors -and generally the extra in airfare always results in cheaper hotels.
If your idea of a vacation is to stay in cold Toronto - see an SP for one hour and play PS3 in the basement - then who can argue with the numbers? I also agree that if your vacation is a bust if a hot girl of your choosing for that day is by your side constantly - then the vacation choice is easy.
Frankly - the thought of a vacation without some pussy is money & time wasted but thats just me! If my S.O. isn't with me then I'm going for the pooning arrangements.
Thailand is very good. Pattya or one of the cities near the beaches are good. Bangkok is more commercial and less relaxed. I was in Pattya and there are girls everywhere and they are amazing! Even if you guys do not like asians, you will find these girls gorgeous. If you are a professional pooner, going here would be no problem, you can hire a girl for a day and bang her all day and hire another girl the next. There are two issues in thailand, 1. some of the girls that look hot are really guys who are tranny's 2. if you are a novice to pooning you can be manipulated by one of these girls to help her out due to her sob story. when i went there the girls were easy to hire and the hotels and beaches were super clean.

Go to Jakarta, Indonesia! I've read reports from guys who've been all through Asia and Jakarta is supposed to be as good or even better than Thailand and the Philippines. Prices for SPs are dirt cheap and the odds of getting freebies are very good! The nightlife is supposed to be the best in Asia, too.
Where abouts in DR? I've read Suosa is cracking down, new mayor or something, phoned down there to some pooning guy that takes guys around, he recommended Puerto Plata, how about Santo Domingo. Don't want to be bothered with cops.

Yes, they are cracking down in Sosua, but hobbying continues. Just not as many girls as before. Not to worry about the cops. They arrest the ladies when they are on the street alone, but don't bother the men. No problem taking ladies back to your hotel either, provided you are in a guest friendly hotel. Santo Domingo is still good to go, if that is where you want to go. I've never been myself.

I agree with Vulcan, San Jose in Costa Rica is almost too easy. Search for videos of Sportmens Lodge (SL) or Hotel Del Ray (HDR) on youtube to get the picture. Lots of great boutique hotels within safe walking distance of those two main hobby sites. Of course you can stay at either of the above mentioned places, if you can stand the noise of the banging and the click-clack of the high heels on tile floors of hallways and stairs at all hours of the night. I stayed at Hotel La Amistad where the food is fabulous, and it is located around the corner from one of the fab hobby spots (alas, not the 24/7 one).
CR also offers excellent normal reasons for travel - ecotourism, historical tourism, or fishing, volcano trekking, 4-wheeling, surfing to name a few diversions if you tire of the ticas.
