We managed to take in Syrian refugees. If I recall correctly around 20,000 “at a time”. Time to process them, time to find places. Times were different. Nor were we already screaming. Well many of those who created some problems. About being swamped with problems, and cost. Asylum seekers alone are costing 200 mil a year.
As for Chow, well she like Ford inherited a mess and a ton of debt from Tory…..It’s hard to do much, when you’re in debt up to your eyeballs and have some big problems to try and fix. at least a tiny bit. And credit where it’s due. She is trying to raise revenue. As warned by Don Drummond. A long long long long long long long time ago.

Whether criminals in jails, or people addicted to opioids, immigrants, refugees, those with lower incomes being crushed by Hydro, soaring inflation, interest rates and rents, those thrown overboard during Covid, those in public service, those outside the GTA.
