He doesn;t really work for Canada. He works for foreigners who have not
paid any Canadian tax, such as Ukrainians, refugees etc. while Canadians
who worked all their lives and paid all the taxes are suffering from inflation,
high food prices and lack of affordable housing. Who are you going to vote

Based on the last election not a single federal party or at least none that had any real shot of having even a say had an actual workable solution to the housing issue, [which is provincial and civic anyway] medical [again provincial] or other staggering issues facing the country. They had similar plans none of which would really make a difference.
2 election ago No Seat Max and his ilk were branded racists and Nazis not for wanting to send back immigrants, not for cutting it to 0 but for the white supremecy of wanting to lower Canadian rates on a per capita basis to US levels during such white supremacists like Clinton and Obama. All for the purpose of giving time till we can get the country for the influx. I wish I was making up the No Seat Max bit, but alas I am not. Granted they could work with the immigration system to focus more on the people we so desperately need and find ways of getting them qualified [like fuck if I would trust a doctor trained at a Indian or Chinese university where cheating is rampant... and I speak from personal experience on both].
As for taxes, they have been pretty much the same for ages with minor changes here and there.
As for Ukraine, I am pretty sure neither Pierre Poulet, nor Jerkmeat Singh are Neville Chamberlains thank Lemmy.

Carbon taxes. Which will have downstream cost. (Paying for widgets to be trucked). Stores, warehouses also have to heat places…that’s more expense to them..so you…It’s also a tax on a tax. Nor does it treat everyone the same. Not everyone can ride a bike or take a bus/subway to school, work, the corner store..
Inflation.
Wages over the last 50-60 years stagnant when adjusted for it. Lots of new Taxes, Fees,
if you spend say 40,000 a year on this or that. And HST is 13%. The govts get.?????

Cost me roughly depending on wind/temp. Roughly $700/month for propane Nov through March. 23% of that is tax.
when I lived in Durham I paid $100/month for Nat Gas. Worded different. This winter, starting now. I will spend roughly $3,500 to $4,300 to heat my home. If it’s a cold winter let’s call that $4,000.

Nat gas at say $100/month x 23%=??
Here’s the kicker. I got an email from Hydro 1 a couple days ago. Telling me I should switch to Electric heat (checks Ontarios hydro rates)
