whats wrong with my P2P ???

Neither limewire or frostwire working.
I download the programs, then double click the desktop icons and nothing happens! Everything else working okay it seems.
I nuked my AVG anti-virus and re-loaded the Rogers supplied protection. I believe those programs are allowed access in it's firewall.
Ideas?

Depending what OS you have, right click on the LW exe file > properties > compatibility > run in compatibility mode for Win 2000 or NT if you're using XP or if you're using Vista, run in compatibility mode for XP.

What OS are you running?

Sometimes it helps to uninstall the actual program (Limewire, etc.) and reinstall it. Doing it may ask you to open up the port in Windows firewall.

Also, you might want to run it in compatability and administrative mode.

Last few times trying to use it, the network was down.
Is Kazza dead and how are those other P2P apps running?
Are you getting good files or are there still lots of crap files thrown in?

Thanks, tried that, but no good.
Have loaded Bearshare and am using it okay.
But would rather use one of the other two damn it!
