This is the reason I like Linux even better.
Linux does all the above and more and it's FREE....

I have lots of friends who use Linux. I agree it's awesome and the fact that it's
free, makes it even better! The problem with Linux is that you really need to be
computer savvy to use it, which I'm NOT

This is NOT true with Ubuntu!!!
Ubuntu is a very easy Linux distro to learn.
While other Linux distros require more of a computer savvy nature, Ubuntu is about as easy to master as a Mac.

Just get a Live-CD of Ubuntu, pop it into your computer and you can run Ubuntu off the CD to give it a 'test drive'.....
Then if you like what you see, install it as a dual boot system so you have two OSs available to use.

This is why a Mac can be so great - although forking out all that money felt like I was bending over and taking it up the @$$ from Steve Jobs himself... There's a feeling of violation and shame, but no viruses (yet) and I can talk tech stuff with hipster graphic designers who wear hoodies and live in their parents' basement.
