What was the best gift you got this year?

I got a variety of gifts that really do not mean much to me nor are they very useful as I have everything I need. Yes, I got another shaver, it is number 5. It will go in the closet with the 4 other electric shavers I got other years. I think I will have to start to use electric shavers again. When the five blade razors came out I bought a large quantity of blades and have not used electric shavers since. The gifts that I will appreciate the most are things like fine chocolates and bottles of scotch. Things that give you a good experience seem to be the best gifts. I have a booze nook where I keep my booze, so I will have to move all the 2014 bottles under the nook and place all the 2015 bottles on top. Even when I finish a bottle, I refill it so that the gifter can see that I have appreciated and enjoyed his gift all year. The Chivas 18 will be enjoyed but the Glenlivet 18 and the Glenmorangie Nectar D'Or will be savored.
Can't you return that stuff back to the store for a refund? You really don't need 5 electric shavers. I am still using a Braun that was purchased in 1997 (it is lasting longer than the new roof I installed the same year).
I believe in gift Karma, something given from the heart is to be appreciated, enjoyed and used. I never re-gift or return. The shaver I got this year is very interesting. It is the Panasonic electric razor that you can use in the shower and with shaving cream. I have my doubts as to how long it will last if you clog it up with shaving cream, whiskers and water.
I asked for peace on earth, but I don't think I got it.
I did get a new camera, and I really didn't even need one. Of course it has a better zoom lens and more megapixels than my old one so it's a good thing. I got a new watch to add to my collection (yeah, I didn't really need a new watch either, but I appreciate it too).
I have two favourite regular SPs--I received a giant Hershey Kiss from one lady and a wood puzzle from the other one.

Why? not suggesting you give free session! i'm suggesting you give a loyalty reward of extra time depending on length of appointment to regulars, shows how much you appreciate the return business.
Well you did say give a free half hour or hour so i see where Jacklyn is coming from... but I think you meant the client pays for example hour session and in return the sp give him hour and a half session ...
If you're a good regular, they may not watch the clock during the year or offer other manifestations of good service.
I haven't seen or recall Boxing Day specials by SPs.
hmmm... yes! it's the thought that counts really. a simple gesture like a text or email or extra time on christmas shows that the girls don't just consider us clients as ATMs.

Not every post needs a response. Sometimes it's best to just remain silent, or as mentioned before offer your regulars something special, but not nessasarly $$$.
Errr, the question was what was the best gift you got, the gifts I got are not a reflection of my financial state. They came from a variety of sources, clients, friends, and family. Not sure what exactly you are trying to say with your post here...
